I am a graduate student in the College of Education in St. Louis, it's going to be a long an interesting road finishing up my master's degree, heading into doctoral studies and working on internships. Little getaways are essential to my survival!
I am a former chef and events planner, I was committed to seasonal American cuisine and worked closely with farmers through purchasing at markets. I preferred to support local artisans. I still love food and travel and like to keep it simple, overall. I lead a very healthy, creative lifestyle and gravitate towards mindfulness, deliciousness and kindness, in general. I've discovered that I have a pretty intense gluten intolerance, so I have come to prefer having the option of cooking while I travel.
I love old cities and public art. Architecture makes me swoon. Farmers markets make me giddy. Seeing a city from the vantage point of a bicycle is one of my favorite views. I'd prefer to take in the sites from a meandering walk than a tour bus any day of the year. Book stores, antique shops, great coffee, old family restaurants, art museums, afternoon tea, local musicians, gardens, parks and the like are my favorite destinations.
Over the next few years I am hoping to cover more terrain in the U.S. and am planning a handful of short adventures. I'm a mindful, clean and thoughtful guest. I treat a person's home as I would my own. I can't say that I have a life's motto, but I do know that I am a grand appreciator and tend to treat things with great respect.
