We only stayed for one Night. You can easily find the Riad. The Breakfast and staff was very nice. The rooms were clean and nice and you were able to lock them.
We had booked to stay here for 3 nights. We left after the first night.
-easy to find
-cheap for how large the room is
-bed was clean
-host was nice and multilingual
-they were doing construction work while we were there until 7pm and up at it again at 830a. Loud hammering/banging
-common area was constantly filled with hosts' local friends and didn't feel like a place you could hang out
-constant noise from common area filters directly into the room
-after a long day in the medina not a place that you could chill from all the
-beds were uncomfortable and hard which made for a bad sleep
-host was not very responsive before arriving
The place was hard to find but everything is in Fez. If you book a cheaper room make sure to check if it is shared as we didn't notice. The place was clean overall and the patio was nice to sit outside, but we did find two cockroaches in our room when we first got there.... The host said this was not common and we didn't see any afterwards. The breakfast was simple, orange juice was unfortunately not fresh squeezed (common practice in Morocco as oranges are abundant) but the breads and mint tea were nice. The location was in the thick of everything and easy to find once you know the way. If you plan on using a taxi I suggest finding one on your own and setting the price beforehand (as with any purchase)- the one the hosts use gave an egregious price for a lift to the Merenid Tombs to watch sunset. We walked, it was not far but apparently not very safe though we were totally fine.
You are always welcome
First of all location was in the middle of medina straight into dark alley where scammers and drug dealers wander around during the night looking for tourist like me. If you're first time in Morocco or a solo female traveler I suggest to avoid arriving after evening. And the room has bad wifi connection. With atrium right in front of my room and is unsecured from noise of people talking, atl for me it was less cozy than other riyad I've stayed. Host provided me mint tea so +1 for that one. Overall it was ok but I might try different hostel/riyad next time.
Really enjoy my stay there. Both Yossouf and Nurdin are very nice, friendly, help me with some stuff. The place is well located near the main gate, and it can be found easily following the direction. The living room is nice decorated, nice breakfast. Room is ok, well worth for the price!
Thanks again for you choice to Dar zohour ,we hop to see you soon
Thanks for your stayed in Dar zohour we always doing our best to offer you comfortable stay .
hope see you again here in fez
Die Beschreibung war korrekt.
Es ist ein traditionelles Haus in der Medina, sauber und gepflegt. Die Gastgeber sind hilfsbereit und freundlich.
Thanks for you stay with us .
I have to give this place a mixed review. I feel I was well treated here and the breakfast was great. The location is also good and easy to find with directions. It is winter and I was grateful to have heat in my room. The riad is beautiful.
However, My room was on the top floor the stairs have uneven risers (some tall, some not) and no handrails which makes getting up and down, especially with luggage, challenging. In the dark it is treacherous.
I like a firm mattress but my bed and pillow were hard, very hard which made it impossible to get comfortable. The lighting is fluorescent which makes for a harsh light as well.
Thanks for your choice to Dar el yasmine .
Dar Zohor was the best place to start our trip around Morocco. Mhamed arranged a transfer for us to the riad and Youssef was waiting for us at the main entrance of the medina. Nordin, Youssef and Mhamed were really helpful and friendly. We felt safe and comfortable all the time. The riad was beautiful!! Our room was nice, with comfortable beds, a hot shower and an air conditioning. Breakfast was delicious!! The riad also offers trips to other cities. We decided to do these trips with them and they were fantastic!!! We spent a night at the desert, got great accomodation and food and a friendly and helpul driver who took us everywhere until we reached Marrakech. Thanks for this wonderful experience!!
Thanks for your choice to our place
we hope to see you again here in Morocco and in Fes
