We had a great experience with Tommaso's apartment in Florence, Italy. My husband and our daughter went for this 4 days trip to Florence on spring break. The apartment located in downtown Florence, close to all tourist sights. The two-level design of the apartment is great for a couple with teenagers. Tommaso showed up on time for our arrival and gave a comprehensive introduction to the neighborhood, restaurants, and Gelato shops. The apartment is on a busy street with a nearby new super market and a nice bakery. Everything is convenient. We were surprised by a dress-up Easter parade on early morning that went by right under our window.
To me, the only draw back is the street noises that were constant and pretty loud. I use ear plugs at night... and got better adjusted the second day. My husband and teenage daughter were not distressed by the noise at all.
Overall a great value.
Tommaso stayed in regular contact and is prompt to reply or advise of any changes. Such was the case for our arrival where we were met by his Uncle David instead. All perfect at check in! I note that previous reviews make comment about the area feeling a little dodgy... But come later afternoon and evening and it springs to life. To be honest, we preferred it around this district than the overcrowded tourist drags 'Duomo to Pontevecchio' etc... A very well appointed apartment which could only benefit from a kettle and not much more. Good hot water, water pressure and consistent wifi. Ignore the comment about the nightclub just down the road because sleeping in the bedroom upstairs, you just don't hear it unless the skylight window is wide open! Anyway, it is a busy destination with many activities so that's what happens in many cities. We loved the southern side of the river Arno too... Especially around the Boboli gardens etc. a decent walk away from the tourist hoardes and you will find quaint and quiet streets... The real Florence. Thank-you Tomasso
Tommasso's apartment in the heart of Florence was as good as, if not better than, described. On the second floor of an old apartment building, it has been refurbished to a very high standard, from the excellent modern bathrooms and kitchen (the kind of things you'd expect of a good hotel) to the lovely old wardrobe in the bedroom (the kind of thing you seldom find in a good hotel). My children were very happy sleeping on what they said was a comfortable sofa bed. Tommasso took us through all the things we needed to know and even left us a bottle of wine as a welcome gift. The flat, located in a pleasantly mixed neighbourhood, is so close to both the main station and the historic centre that I really couldn't imagine anywhere better to stay in Florence. Excellent.
Perfect location, and Tommaso was a great host. The apartment was perfectly sized for three guests with comfortable amenities. Great supermarket right across the street, and located on a safe, quiet street a quick walk from all the action!
Tommaso was a great host. He was always very responsive and helpful. He was even nice enough to book a restaurant reservation for us. Thank you again Tommaso!
The apartment is very spacious and super clean! The wifi worked really well. The place is only like a 5 min walk from the train station, which made it very convenient. Great location overall. All major attractions are within walking distance.
Some things to note - although the street is quiet during the day, the apartment is close to some bars and a "discoteca." At night, we could hear most of the street noise and crowds. Being a sensitive sleeper, I had to use ear plugs. Also, be prepared to walk up several stair cases to get to the apartment. It's on the highest floor. It was a little difficult with heavy luggage when we arrived, but we managed.
One more thing, the apartment utilizes the three-prong electrical plugs. Having been to Europe and Italy before we had mostly been exposed to the two-prong version.
With that said, overall we had a great stay in Tommaso's apartment. Would definitely recommend.
The apartment is exactly as shown in photos, wonderful and extremely clean. But its location has a plus point - many restaurants and bars in addition to being close to public transport (bus and train station) and one negative - noisy all night for those who sleep on the sofa bed in the living room downstairs. The bedroom is very quiet. Tommaso is very helpful and a very nice person
We really enjoyed staying at Tommaso's place. It was very nicely decorated and clean. It was close to all the main sites in Florence.
Tommaso gave us a good introduction where to find everything in the city.
We have a great time!
Everything was exceptional. Tommaso its a great host. The apartment was amazing, like photos can show, very clean! The location of the apartment is excelent, in the heart of Florence and 10 minutes from the Santa Maria Novella train station.
Definitely my 1st choice to Florence in the future.
Thank you for your concern and avaibility.

Tommaso is very kind and helpfull host.
It is close to the train station within 5 mins walk.
It is decorated with modern and antique furnitures together, It was very clean and wi-fi was working very well. I would definately come again.
I really enjoyed the stay as the house is really nice (and Florence is a beautiful city!)
Tommaso is the perfect host: he's polite and friendly. He even introduced me to some of his favorite restaurants and major attractions of the city (which is nice if you never visited the place!)
Would i recommend this place to a friend? Absolutely!
