I like the outdoors; Hiking, Biking, Snowboarding.
I stayed in room 5. It is a very small room with a bed, an overhead light and a reading light. It is on the third floor and you must carry luggage up a fairly narrow winding staircase. The bathroom is located right next door on the same floor. I never ran into Josh or anyone else in the 3 days I was there. If you want a private place and all you need is a bed and bathroom, this is perfect!! The location is right next to the park. All communications with Josh were prompt and sheduling was organized and easy. I would stay there again.
Nice, simple place to stay when visiting San Fran. Josh got us extra pillows when needed which was very nice.
The directions we received on how to get in and out were perfect. The only hard part was staying quiet on the creaky floors. The bed was comfortable and there was plenty of space in the room including having a personal sink in there! It was nice to be so close to many cool shops and restaurants and to be able to walk around. The only negative part of our stay was the bathroom. Thankfully we never had to wait around for the bathroom, but the clawfoot tub was very high and difficult to get in and out of (I am 5'1".) There was also an odor in the bathroom the entire weekend, but thankfully never lingered anywhere else. We were hoping there would be cookies on the entrance table but we were never lucky enough for that :p Overall this is a good, safe place for people to stay!
Amazing location, really clean room and bathroom. We had the perfect San Fran experience!
Great location and awesome room. Clear communication from Josh and good tips to reach his house. Josh is all about details to make it comfortable and enjoy SFO stay. He even have organic cakes and several other ammenoties that I will not spoil to other visitors. Highly recommended.
Loved the stay! We didn't spend much time in the room but it was clean, large enough for two people and quite comfortable. Shower was easy to use and decent. There is a small mini-fridge you can keep beers and leftovers in on the first floor that came in handy. Location was the best part, we could walk basically anywhere. We went all the way to Fishermans Dwarf to Mission and back and loved it. I would suggest this room to all of my friends looking to visit San Francisco. The price is unbeatable for what you get.
The room we had was comfortable and well laid out. Everything we needed was right there, and easy for us to assess. The location can't be beat, just close enough to Hate Ashbury to have a fun night. But far enough away to have privacy. The park across the street is also a plus!
Everything was as described. Good communication, good location.
Josh was the best kind of host in that he was totally hands-off. The accommodations were more than adequate and being centrally located in the Haight-Ashbury section of San Francisco was a real boon.
Everything exceeded our expectations. There were no "smoke and mirrors" and the price was fabulous.
I recently stayed at Josh's place Room 5. ImetvJosh on arrival as I didn't read the part about pulling my door towards me as the lock is a little fussy! Oops! He was pleasant and helpful, but never had another reason to bother him while I was there. I stayed there for 3 nights and 2 1/2 days. The room was as the description said. Small with a single bed. The bed was super comfy I slept very well. The little window opened do u could stay nice and cool. The one thing to note if you have problems getting down to a low level the bed is only mid calf or a bit higher from the floor. The room was clean and quite small and cozy. For one person with a smaller luggage kiss just perfect. Outside the room is a coat or small clothing closet you can use. The room is at the top of a couple long steep flights of stairs as it is and older character home. The area was easy to find off the metro and a short two or three bus stop ride. Well marked. Not far off Main Street of Haight. A short walk to the bus and a little longer to the metro N Judi line. Area seemed safe and well kept. You can't escape the homeless issue everywhere in SF, and there is a small component of that visible when u walked at night on Haight! Enjoyed my short visit in SF would love to visit again for s lobger duration. Thx Josh for a great stay.
This was Josh and Christine's second visit! We thank them for choosing our space, and we welcome them back anytime!
Josh is a perfect guest--communicative, respectful, and minimal footprint. He is welcome back any time!
Friendly, communicative and clean guest!
