I get afflicted with wanderlust every few months or so. Whether it's a short weekend getaway to neighbouring towns (always on the road less traveled) or abroad, I love to explore the backwaters of nature and culture. I make it a point to travel to a foreign land at least twice a year, at least a week away, more if I could squeeze out the time and money. I enjoy travelling in South East Asia the most, with it's mystical charms, gorgeous nature and diverse cultures.
I am an amateur photographer, fervent nature lover, amorous furry friend, rapturous music junkie, culture enthusiast, and food & coffee addict. Personality-wise, I am very forthright and enjoy witty, open communication. I believe in Karma and "you reap what you sow".
When I visited Ubud a few years ago, I became completely enamoured with it. There was an electrifying connection...it felt like coming home. Padi Menari is my pride and joy and my abode when I get to escape from maddening Kuala Lumpur where I have to be for work. It has been lovingly and personally enhanced with all the comforts of home and then some. Environmental conservation and cultural harmony is the essence of Padi Menari and everything that can be consciously practiced to cultivate this has been implemented.
For my properties, I try to imbue the same standards and quality that I personally appreciate. Five star hotel it is not and there are certain things I won't have because I find it unnecessary and wasteful. Practicality overrules fluff, comfort reigns over extravagance. Nevertheless, nothing's ever perfect and whilst I am steadfast (most say stubborn!) in my philosophies and ideas, I value constructive suggestions and feedback. After all, we are constantly learning, evolving and seeking improvements right?
Live and love passionately, completely and unabashedly!
