When we arrived at Barry's, there was nobody tot welcome us. When we finally found our room(/garage), it smelled really bad like dogs. The things we enjoyed at Barry's were the kingsize bed and the clean shower and towels.
This was my first airbnb experience. Unfortunately, Barry was out of town when I arrived after dark so I didn't meet her. The front entrance was dark and there wasn't a number on the house when I walked up to see if it was the correct house. When I left the next morning I saw a house number on the gate by the street. My room was a converted garage. The king bed was comfortable and the room was warm. The room had a refrigerator, coffee maker, microwave and washer/dryer. The shared bathroom was located upstairs and was clean. No food was provided, but Barry did offer to purchase groceries and I could reimburse her. She was very prompt responding to my questions prior to booking.
It was a nice place to stay. Barry was very flexible.
We just needed a room for one night - Barry makes things very easy, is super flexible and there is a welcoming energy in the house. All share one bathroom, but very accessible and very clean sheets and towels.
Throughout the house, there are little nuggets of art and literature to discover, so there's a constant feeling of surprise of discovering nice little things.
Barry, we had a wonderful time. You make us feel like family & really open your home to us. The large garage has everything we needed except the bathroom which really was fine. And our own coming and going door was nice. Thanks for helping us to get to & from the airport. That was a big help. We felt if we got stranded while taking the bus, you would have picked us up but that didn't happen. And thank you for the trips to the grocery, too. Thank you for a wonderful vacation--Now back to snow & COLD. I do love the location with the walk along the river and not far from the bus line.
Super zentral gelegen.
Alles im Zimmer was man braucht.
Barry's house is in a lovely area on Bradenton, very close to the water.
She opens her home to us travelers and makes everything very comfortable. My room at the top of the stairs has a nice bed, a small refrigerator, microwave and a few kitchens utensils, just right for a meal. The room and the shared bathroom were kept quite neat and clean. Barry is a lovely lady, living her life by making our lives better.
While my stay was just overnight I was happy to have enjoyed Barry's Bungalow.
The room was large and lovely, the house in a low-key, old-fashioned Florida neighborhood. Barry was no hassle, very nice. It's a shared bath situation, bath in the hall. I never ran into the permanent resident with whom the bath is shared, though, and the bathroom was always clean. There is also a friendly dog on the premises. As long as those things don't trouble you (they didn't trouble me at all!), this was a fine way to experience authentic Bradenton living.
We was really short time there.Just slept well and had everything in our room (tv, fridge, coffee, tee) . Barry was nice to us
Barry was a very welcoming and accommodating host. Everything was as described and the room was more than spacious with many amenities (such as a toaster, microwave, fridge, tv, and coffee maker) available in the same space. Anything I didn't have Barry was able to provide, and she was a great guide for stores in the area. I would definitely stay here again!
