If you want a room with private facilities and no personal interaction with the owners than this is the place for you. It was good to have a well equipped mini kitchenette, although an electric jug would be preferable to coffee maker for tea drinkers. There isn't anywhere to hang clothes so be prepared to live out of suitcase. The room and ensuite were very clean. The noise transfer from other guests upstairs and next room is a bit disconcerting, however we were tired enough to ignore. It is a little further out of town than we understood from description.
Everything was exactly as described. The Room is cozy, comfortable and clean with a nice little Kitchenette and Coffee and Creamer is available for use.
The Room is in 5min walking distance to the City Centre and with our booking we Received a lot of useful Information about what to do and where to go.
Overall it was Not as cheep as a hostel, but after weeks in Dorns with Shared washrooms this place felt like heaven and was afordable.
We didn't had a chance to meet Amanda but she gave us all the info before our arrival. So even though she wasn't there, everyting went fluently. The room was clean and ideal for a short stay. The city center is within walking distance and you can park in front of the door. Good place to discover Jasper and surroundings.
The room is clean and cozy - maybe a bit too cozy for some, as two people with luggage are quite a tight fit. But since we never spent any time in the room except at night, we didn't really mind. The bathroom is very nice.
However, this isn't really a personal experience. We never met anyone named Amanda and the check-in process was kind of a mystery. Maybe a little more info in the house manual or a more active communication with guests before arrival would serve to better prepare people for what they're getting into.
An email I received before my stay was apparently geared at guests of the Patricia Lake Bungalows, a property quite a bit away from the actual room. Incidentally, this is where we had to go to check in.
In all: The room is very clean and well situated right in town. It's more like a hotel/inn, though. Also, the walls are paper thin. We could hear people in the other apartment even when they were obviously talking at normal volumes.
Nice place to stay with great coffee packets in the room.
Everything was as per the description and wifi worked well too
Amanda made sure we got into the room without any problems even though I was a bit late informing her of our arrival time. The room was spacious and tidy, with a comfy bed and a nice en-suite bathroom. The location was ideal with everything within 15 minutes walking distance and some great views of the surrounding mountains.
The host canceled this reservation 11 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
This place was very nice, set up well with a fridge and a coffee machine., however no milk to use it. And as we were only there for two days there was no point in buying any. Unfortunately we had a terrible experience with neighbours being loud ALL the way through our last night stay (disregarding the quiet time hours which is between 10pm and 7am) when we had to be up early for a long 9hr drive, I didn't get hardly any sleep. Upon yelling out to them they seemed to quieten and tell each other to shush but 5 minutes later they were back at it. extremely rude.
The place was very central with easy access to things and comfortable.
It is not a 'house' stay. It is more like professional accommodation with our own entrance.
We did let people know on checkout over the phone about this instance.
Thanks for the lovely room :)
Stayed two nights in short notice. Amanda was accommodating and pictures accurately represent room
Very short walk to all the main spots in town - clean room with mini-fridge and well-stocked kitchenette and bathroom. Only thing that was a surprise was that the entry to the room was the same as for the rest of the house so we were initially unsure where to go. We came late at night and were out all day so we didn't meet Amanda herself but were overall happy with our stay.
Julie was a fine guest and is welcome here anytime. She was pleasant and was observant of the house rules and left the Garden Apartment in fine condition.
Julie and her family were great guests. They are welcome back anytime.
