Motorcycle Magazine publisher, Run a motorcycle riding school. I restore Chrysler Imperials and own 5 of them.
Kenyon provided everything I needed for a comfortable and restful stay-- a large bed with down pillows and a down comforter in a quiet bedroom, a warm atmosphere, and pretty much a full run of the house. He, along with Marguerite (and some sweet cats) were unobtrusive yet friendly and sociable. I highly recommend him and will return as needed.
Second stay at Kenyon and Margaret's place... things are going on! Such a nice place to be, such nice people to talk with... A really enjoyable experience. Just go there and enjoy!
What a great stay!!! Kenyon is so kind and helpful... so is Margaret! Kenyon doesn't hesite to go out of his way to help you. And a touch of humour which is enjoyable!
Kenyon was an affable host with a love for cats and, as he puts it, the internal combustion engine. Both Kenyon and Margaret made sure we were comfortable and left us to our devices, although we enjoyed watching movies and reality TV with them in the evenings. Bonus: Zigzag, Exxon and Colonel Kiwi were the sweetest little purring machines ever. Highly recommended for those doing the SF Bay Area with a car.
Kenyon and Margaret are warm, easygoing hosts. I had a very enjoyable time and will be sure to stay with them again if I return to the area.
The house is very clean and everything is exactly as advertised. I spent most of my stay going to work, but I did get a couple of chances to talk to Kenyon, who generously showed me his vintage Imperials and even gave me a ride in a rare 1960 model.
The three cats each have their own personality and are a lot of fun to be around.
Kenyon and Margaret were nice. My wife and I stayed at his place for about 10 days while we looked for an apartment in San Francisco. Originally we only booked his place for a week but we extended our stay and Kenyon was very flexible - we really appreciated it.
For most of our stay we didn't have a car so if you also plan on not having a car, this review will be useful to you. To get to the city we would walk to the BART (Bay Fair) station, which is about a mile away. The price of a one-way ticket to downtown is about $4.35 and the trip is probably about an hour and a half (including walking). San Lorenzo is a suburb and walking is not so popular but there is fast food and a Walmart within 10 minutes of his house. His house is clean. The guest room is average size. The bed is a full size and the mattress is not at all firm, in fact my wife and I laughed because we said it felt like swimming in an ocean. To be fair, it's not that bad. We could cook in the kitchen and used the refrigerator, too. Kenyon is a business man, and he works at his house. He loved to give advice and help us out which was really nice. He says that it's a safe area. We never had any problems and it was easy to come and go.
Worked very late and left very early so hardly saw Kenyon, but he was very nice from our five minute interaction. Cute comfortable bed and bathroom as well!
Cozy, clean, with hospitable hosts. 5 stars.
Our stay with Kenyon and Margaret was terrific! They were able to accommodate us last minute, communicated swiftly and clearly, and the house was tidy and comfortable. Both gave fun, friendly advice, and it would be a pleasure to stay with them again.
I returned here again and was not disappointed. Great people, great place, and never a dull moment. Kenyon, knowledgeable about area and always happy to assist when necessary. Margaret, a good cook (if you opt for dinner option) and goes the extra mile to make you feel at home. Will be back whenever in area. Thanks for another great stay.
