We had a great experience! It was just my husband and I, so we had a comfortable amount of space for 2 people in NYC. It would definitely be a tight fit with more people and bags than we had. She provided us with everything we needed including ear plugs, which were a huge help and very necessary. The streets of NYC are loud, and this apartment is no exception. The ear plugs allowed us to still have a restful night. We were there Wednesday - Friday so we only heard the noise from the nightclub on Thursday night and it was not too bad. The only other complaint is how bright the light is coming in from a bright sign next to the window at the head of the bed. It was VERY bright at night, so darker curtains would've been nice. The location is awesome if you are wanting a "local" feel. You are surrounded by yummy restaurants, bars and cafes, and walking distance from the subway. It takes about 30 minutes to get uptown on the subway, but its a quick and easy ride. The place was very clean and neat. Check in and check out was quick and easy. Any time I had a question I always had a quick response from MD both while planning our trip and during our trip. I would stay in this apartment again.
We had very good contact with Md and Simone. There was not a problem to check- in in the late night and late check-out. The apartments is well furnished, bright and clean in a safe (website hidden) cared for in the kitchen were the most important products such as coffee and tea. The biggest advantage is the proximity to the metro and shops.
We had a great experience! Perfect location and really nice apartment.
A very nice appartment, but a bit too small for 4 people. It was a lot of noice from the street, that we wern't prepared for. It was worst friday and saturday nights with all the people leaving the restaurants and clubs. The appartment looks in real Life as it does in the add.
The hosts were met us at the appartment and made sure everything worked as it should, and they answered quickly if we had any questions. We had a very nice week.
Host's agent Simone was helpful, especially when prior guests had left windows open and stuck! The apartment was not a loft. Walk up two flights. Neighborhood interesting and mixed racially and economically, but less than middle class, I would judge.
The apartment was indeed bright (some additional window coverings would be good), clean and well presented. The location was excellent and given it is situated on a main road it was relatively quiet.
Unfortunately we had major issues with the toilet and albeit the host fixed it the first time, we were told that we had obviously miss-used it and would have to pay for a second visit ourselves. We had an unusable toilet for two days and ended up having to use Airbnb as a mediator to get the toilet fixed (Airbnb were great BTW). The experience was unpleasant, (the host was rude) and now to find others have had the same issues it is particularly disappointing to know that the host was so unreasonable.
The apartment has a lot going for it however the host needs to accept it's drawbacks and address them without argument. The last night we were there the whole building was kept awake due to the boiler having been turned on and having been turned up too high (it was extremely hot in the apartment) and the air trapped in the system meant extremely loud banging every ten or so minutes. Ironically if we hadn't experienced the toilet issues we wouldn't have minded so much however the whole thing left a bad taste in our mouths.
The Apartment had all the amenities we needed. Cute and compact, the three of us fit in just fine. The location was fantastic too! My only complaint is that there was a lot of street noise at night with a club just below and loud patrons coming and going. My college age kid slept through it but not so easy for the parents. Still, if you come to New York, it is the city that never sleeps.
The apartment was as advertised and the host was there when we arrived (which was much appreciated as it was late and our flight had been delayed significantly). The apartment looked as expected and was fairly clean. The host was also super flexible about the check out time, which was really helpful as well.
However, if you are a light sleeper I would avoid this property. The street is very noisy throughout the night with deliveries and so on and I've lived next to busy roads before.
Not only that but the bedroom window is right next to a bright sign for a Car Park, which when combined with thin curtains makes adjusting to a new day/night cycle very tough. If those are changed then this place would certainly improve.
The experience wasn't a terrible one, but do have a think about the noise/light if you are booking this property.
This is a tiny but bery nice apartment. It ia perfectly located if you want to explore NYC. Metro stations are near by if you want to go the touristical places. But also Soho/Lower East provide lots of entertaining opportunities. Iti is definately worthwhole to also spend some time in this less busy and almost cosy area. Upon arrival, key handover was done personally. Leaving was just closing the door. The apartment provided all you need. In fact, I really only used it for sleeping.
