My family and I travelled to Costa Rica for the first time and and were thrilled with our time in Playa Langosta and the condo at La Esquina. We are an active family (with 4 college aged students in the mix) and the condo location was perfect for surfing, fishing, snorkling and the nightlife of Tamarindo. The beautifully finished Condo set up was (email hidden)o large bedrooms and baths, open plan kitchen and living space (couch in pics is a pull-out) + 4 balconies to hideaway and find some privacy. With a mini supermercado a block away, eating meals in the well-equipped kitchen was a dream. Pool was a delicious treat before or after the beach and the condo setting a perfect respite. Don't miss the sunsets from the rooftop deck! Secure parking (manned 24 hrs), w/d and BBQ, walk to beach or the high energy of Tamarindo. Easy key pick-up and drop-off and the RPM office even set up some of our best day tours.
The Condo was great, even better than the pictures! We loved the ease of the whole apartment, really felt right at home. The pool was even more amazing than the pictures. Great area, you have your choice of buzzing and lively tamarindo or much more relaxing langosta. Highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the langosta/tamarindo area.
I stayed here for 3 nights with my parents and sister at the end of May; what a wonderful experience! The condo was absolutely gorgeous, well-furnished, and just a couple minutes walk to a beach. I wish we could have stayed longer and taken better advantage of the amenities.
Walking into Tamarindo (which you'll want to do; Langosta has a grocery store but not much else) takes about 15 minutes and a cab is a flat $5. In May the area was pretty empty, but in the high season, I imagine it's nice to be a little more removed from the crowds. The area felt very safe, and there is a guard at the gate at all times.
Checking in and out was a breeze. The rental office is very near by and their staff was also very helpful with planning activities.
Karen and Lloyd's place was a great retreat after so many nights in hotels. We would definitely stay here again!
The place was really clean, comfortable, and a short walk distance from the beach. I recommend it to anyone thinking about making the trip to Langosta. The beach is peaceful and all kinds of awesome.
Karen & Lloyd's son Dan stayed at our lakefront log home over the weekend with friends. They were a great bunch - clean, respectful, playful, and I would have them back any time.
