Perfect little paradise! Upon arrival we were greeted with fresh flowers and bagels. Beautiful and spacious rooms with generously proportioned windows that welcome lots of light and affords a great view over the well manicured gardens, swimming pool and tennis courts. Very quiet and private with a well equipped kitchenette.
Thanks for the stay- the property is in wonderful grounds and Pocket the dog was lovely.
Robert is very kind-hearted host. also he is very creative photographer. He did good arrangements for us. the clean and comfortable house, fruit, Coffee and tea. The guest house is great! It has the beautiful garden, swimming pool, pond and tennis courts, sharing with the mansion. If you want to have a leisurely lives in Beverly hills, listen to the birds in the morning, have a cute dog to be friends, It is the preferred.

Great neighborhood, walking distance to the beach and great restaurants, activities. Host was always available and accommodating. The house is a unique architectural specimen, thoughtfully and comfortably decorated. I always appreciate lots of light, cotton sheets, feather pillows and comforters; all there at the Getty House.
As an Architect…the house was perfect. Very relaxing and just what I needed for a place to stay. I would highly recommend staying there.
Robert made us feel more than welcome. From the moment he greeted me outside, he was very gracious and warm explaining every detail of the house as well as including an overview of all of the fun things to do in the neighborhood. The house is extremely tranquil- a perfect blend of indoor/outdoor living. I would love this home to be mine permanently!! Only a short walk to the beach and only a short drive to grocery stores, etc. - the perfect location.
Thank you for such a wonderful stay- we will be back!
Our two-week stay was perfect from start to finish. The house is amazing. It is filled with light. The layout is open and the gardens are private. There is parking for two cars! The appliances, tv, and showers are all first rate. There's a gas fireplace that made for a toasty living room. Our host (Robert) was knowledgable, gracious and flexible. Everything is top-notch. And I haven't even gotten to the location.
You are six blocks to one of the nicest parts of the Santa Monica beach. It is an easy walk and yet you are away from all the hustle and bustle of Main Street and the beach. (Also, the houses are far enough apart that you don't hear the neighbors -- something that wasn't true when we rented in Venice.) And for dog owners, there is a large park nearby where our lab enjoyed running around off leash.
Robert provided a list of great local restaurants. Let me add my top five, four of which are within a 5-minute walk. Moon Juice on Rose has the best cold-pressed juices around. Suberba Snack Bar on Rose has a wildly inventive menu. (Check out their bakery, too, on Lincoln.) Cafe Gratitude also on Rose is justly famous for its vegetarian fare. Sugarfish Sushi (downtown, about 1.2 miles) has very special sushi and lines to go with it -- try takeaway. But, my all-time favorite and daily haunt was Gjusta Bakery on Sunset. Their cortado coffee with nut milk is to die for. Their seeded rye bread is the best I've ever had. I am a foodie (and founded a successful food business) and this place knocks my socks off.
And did I mention that LA's largest Whole Foods is walking distance? While I'm at it, the place is an easy commute to the 10 and 405 freeways, so it was relatively quick to get to most places.
Any downsides? While there are shades in the master bedroom, it does get a bit light in the morning. So don't plan to sleep too late. And Gjusta opens at 7:00. Five stars all the way!
Wonderful property Wonderful host
Amazing Acadamy award event!
Thank you Robert, Daphna, Vanessa for making it great.....
My friends and I spent three great days about the Getty House! It is a hidden gem in Santa Monica area. The design of this place brings a sense of modernism and nature together, providing abundant Californian sunshine in every room. The living room is big with huge French windows. Outside fire place and front yard is covered by bamboo. The house is only 6 short blocks from the beach. Downtown Santa Monica is also within walking distance.
Robert is a considerable host and always accessible when you need any help. He carefully explains every function of the room and then leaves this beautiful house to you. Whenever there's any question, you could always reach him by phone or email.
Robert was my first guest and he is a perfect guest! He is punctual, very friendly and an easy-going and uncomplicated person. Robert left the apartment in perfect condition. Moreover, it seemed to be even cleaner than before :)
@Robert: I really hope to see you next year (or even earlier) at the next Berlinale, you are always welcome!
Guest perfection.Robert was a superb communicator, low-impact guest, and an just an overall gracious, conscientious, and wonderful temporary tenant. He left the place immaculate, was totally upfront and flexible, and brought a great attitude to the whole experience. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
Robert is one of the best hosts here on airbnb! I can say it with sure. My staying in Beverly Hills Guest House was absolutely amazing! The house was clean, cozy and very stylish.

Robert is a dear friend. He's caring, reliable, wise and a fabulous host. He also knows a lot about the area and will provide a wealth of information particularly if you are interested in anything to do with the arts in Los Angeles. I've stayed in the Getty House and Eco Studio and they are fabulous properties.
