Appartement très bien.
The apartment is just perfect! Great location, very clean and super cute.
The host was on time to meet us and explained everything thoroughly, Eric also had a good sense of humour and was very relaxed. The apartment was as described and as shown in the photos. The neighbourhood was ideally placed to walk to all the museums we wanted to go to and there were lots of great restaurants nearby.
Appartement très bien situé. Un contact mail et humain très convivial et à votre écoute. Je reviendrai....
Lovely and clean flat, perfect for 2 people. Bed was super comfortable. Eric was very nice and helpful. Easy walking distance to Jardin du Luxembourg, Notre Dame, Louvre, Saint Germain, etc. Shops, groceries, bistrots, boulangeries conveniently located nearby. The flights of stairs didn't bother us as it was good exercise! It did get somewhat noisy in the wee hours of the morning with all night party-goers in the bar next door and in the street and lots of garbage pick-up for all the surrounding restaurants even with all the windows closed. Overall a great experience.
The studio was exactly as described classy with all new appliances and utensils, clean and fully equipped with maps and plans of things to do in Paris.
Amel was very communicative through timely emails. I was met by a friend on the time indicated (I was early) who showed me around and gave me the keys and indicated what to do on leaving.
The neighbourhood was very convenient and familiar to me.The building inside was very quiet.
For people who are sensitive to noise and go to bed early, the muffled noise of the activities on the street can be an issue at night (not for me). Also for people with heart condition, it is not recommended as the studio is situated on the 4th floor and there is no lift.
I would recommend it to friends.
Great apartment in a fabulous location - close to many bars and restaurants and with easy access to several Metro lines. Apartment was clean and bright and host was very helpful (even walking me to the closest supermarket on arrival to grab supplies). The apartment is on a street with many bars and restaurants (a bonus for me) - ideal for soaking up the atmosphere with the windows open but also peaceful and quiet with the windows closed if that's your preference! I would definitely stay here again.
As someone who has lived here for 5 MONTHS, I probably know this place better than any other reviews below, which doesn’t seem to properly reflect this place & host. If you do not wish to read a long review, here it is in three, short words: DO NOT BOOK (this place, or ANYPLACE associated with Amel, even for a short stay). This host & this accommodation remain the most TERRIBLE experience of my 4-month stay in Paris, and I cannot suggest her or the place to anyone. First, the host. Amel is extremely rude, repulsive, and an irrational, but most of all, someone with a serious integrity issue. Requesting an extra 425 EUROS on top of my stay for absurd things like mailbox, unwanted housekeeping, and nonexistent damage, I had gone through a lot of hassle to email Airbnb numerous times and collect evidence against all the irrational things she requested. From the beginning, I was treated like a potential criminal who could do damage to the house, rather than a guest. They had first “welcomed” me with some opened, left-over box of Quaker’s Oatmeal, as if that was some kind of a grand service, falsely claimed there was dirt in the house when they haven’t even seen the state of this house (of course, there was none and I had evidence) to rip off money, took photographs of a small drop of juice spill underneath a fridge (when I was not even home!!!), threatening that it may be “bad for my deposit”!!, and harassed me with nonexistent, “potential” damage. I was absolutely terrified. During the stay, Amel has come to the house repeatedly to “check up on things” (even when I was not home!), sometimes only announcing her visit just a few hours before. Although I was amicable with the host from the beginning, her condescending attitude made such difficult. I have 5 other friends who had a long term stay with Airbnb in Paris; having seen the situation, they were also horrified by the host’s irrational attitude. Amel is impossible to negotiate with, and when asked for explanations, she refuses them all, saying that my questions are “simply empty for me”. Before my departure, I had a checkup (which Amel forcibly insisted), to see if there was any damage made to the house, and if there is, to notify. Although the two inspections ladies and I have settled that all was okay (and thank god I have taken a video/photo of this), Amel later flipped the verdict and tried to financially take advantage. Although I don’t have much words left for it now, this apartment is also FAR from “classy”, located on the loudest street of Paris (earplugs/windows don’t help), bad water pressure, BED BUGS (once had 7 bites), fifth floor, no elevator, etc., it was simply the most stressful stay of my life. Amel is a disgrace to all hosts of Airbnb, and Airbnb should probably reconsider her credentials as a host.
