A true treat after a week in busy Tokyo and Seoul. We planned a trip to the country side where my mother used to tell me stories of a forest she used to hike in as a child. Wonju - just an hour and half bus ride away from Seoul - was the perfect launching pad to not only visit Chiaksan National Park but also explore my mothers hometown. Chiaksan was pristine, beautiful and you can truly feel close to nature. Best part - it's not overcrowded like trails in Seoul so your experience is peaceful and quiet. Wonju downtown gave you most of the stores you are used to at half the price and the bus terminal area was filled with restaurants and bars to keep your late nights busy. People are friendly, kind, and excited to share their city with you. The apartment is in a safe area right next to the bus terminal and every thing is a 3 dollar cab away. Tim was great, responsive, and very considerate. I recommend this for not only travelers wanting a moment away from the city but also people living in Seoul needing a break. Be sure to ask Tim about the best Chicken Galbi restaurant in town. Definitely not one to miss.
Great location, so close to bus terminal, supermarket, cafe, hospital and was very comfortable to stay. Tim prepared everything needed in advance. It felt very much like I was in my home with all the things already equiped. Recommended!
the location is terrific! so close to everything needed, bus terminal, free shuttle to ski resort, supermarket, restaurants and cafe, all you need is only 3-5 mins walk.
the apartment is clean and tidy, the room space well fit for 4 people to stay, most houseware are prepared, from kitchenware to hair dryer.
Tim is just so helpful to guide us throughout the journey in Wonju, from transportation to sightseeing advise. He is also excellent in English speaking, so need not to worry on language barrier.
its definitely a good option suggest for other budget travelers
This apartment is in a great (email hidden)ose to the bus station, grocery store, restaurants, a laundry service and shopping. The best thing for us was being able to catch free shuttle buses to Oak Valley and Welli Hilli ski resorts.
The apartment is in an older, worn building but was beautifully clean and well appointed. The bed was comfy, the kitchen had everything we needed for cooking meals and there was even a television in the living room.
Tim was terrifically helpful, getting shuttle schedules and locations and quickly answering every question we texted to him.
This was a terrific spot for the budget conscious travelers which we are.
