Connie is very helpful and nice person. I had requested an extra bed and she did arrange it for me even last minute.
PLUS: you get everything that's promised in the features, only the living space is not that open and light as the windows have disappeared to make way for an extra room….
I loved the quiet of the location and the convenience, especially that it's close to shops, buses, and supermarket/restaurants… plus nature (Mc Ritchie reservoir walks), also reasonably close to MTR (8min. walk)..
Even though there's a fair few people you don't notice it that much as everyone is pretty self contained, very respectful and friendly..
MINUS: Mattress definitely on the soft side, due to there being quiet a few people in the rooms (I'm guessing 6-7 total) the fridge was pretty full, and not much storage space in cupboards..
CONCLUSION: If the mattress changes I'll go back for short stays :-)
Connie's apartment was perfect for me. A large bedroom and ensuite bathroom within a reasonably sized apartment and only a short walk to the MRT station. The other guests were lovely, even made me breakfast one morning. However they don't speak English so if you're self sufficient it's perfect, if you prefer some social interaction it will be more challenging. Thanks Connie, I would stay at your place again.
Connie's apartment is located in a very nice area with easy access to public transport and lots of food. the only thing is that we didn't know there were so many people living in the house. this makes going to the toilet a rather daunting task where you'll have to plan your preparation time properly and to quickly run to the toilet when its vacant. one more issue, there was no lights at all in the room. there was only a table lamp left on the desk which is supposedly there to help brighten up the room. it is really bad for the eyes and hard to work with. connie has been very nice to provide a flexible check in time too.
It was nice. Only that there were another 9 people living. I didnt know that. But still i didnt felt it almost. The location is really great. Subway and bus stops are really near. And if u looking for a nice and cheap place to eat, its right on corner, called "adams corner" really tasty. And Connie was very nice. She've been ready to help me with anything i ask for. Thank her.
I stayed at Connie's place for a 3 and half weeks. My room was very spacious and clean. Connie is very friendly and I enjoyed my stay there. Can highly recommend
Facility is convenient and very spacious. I loved the view from the accommodation too. Connie is very responsive and has good hospitality. She responds any requests sincerely. She prepared breakfast enough for my whole stay. The total value of this accommodation is definitely positive in Singapore.
However, if you are a beginner traveler in Singapore, there are some factors to concern. Connie speaks English just enough minimum functional communication but not enough to explain complicated matter. For example, I arrived Singapore around 3am and she nicely allowed me to check in around 4am. When I landed Singapore airport at 3am, I realized that I've got a message from her and she sent me an address with saying I am waiting here. However, the address is totally different from what was posted on Airbnb. I was so confused and messaged her via smartphone from airport to ask her more explanation but she just kept saying I am waiting here (new address). So I took risks to go to the new address by taxi around 4am anyway. Fortunately I found her at new address and understood the situation after face-to-face communication. She nicely tried to provide me a nicer and bigger room at her own apartment instead of the registered accommodation in Airbnb but her message was not early enough for international traveler and also her English is not good enough to explain such complex situation.
Actually her new offering is quite good but WiFi was not available at that time so I shifted to original accommodation next day.
In facility wise, the original accommodation is also nice. However, there are a couple of people living in the facility and you share bathroom and shower with them. Those people living in the apartment do not keen to maintain space clean so much. So lots of hairs are everywhere and I also found a used underwear on the kitchen counter. One of tenants started raising two cages of hamsters in the shared dining area, which was becoming bad smell over the space.
If you can handle those factors, you will enjoy staying this accommodation very much.
The room was clean, and everything was just as expected. good room, and good service.
I stayed at Connie's place for a few days. The place is nice and clean and Connie was very friendly. The area around the building is quite green and quiet.
You can walk to the MRT station Marymount in 5-8 minutes.
