Yu was the most helpful host i have encountered! he picked us up from the airport and took us straight the the apartment. The apartment was bigger than i expected it to be and finished perfectly for a small group to spend a weekend exploring Qingdao (especially the beer festival) with the beer festival just steps away this was the perfect place for us. A German bar just outside the complex made this a great place for foreigners and locals alike!
Spacious, clean and loaded with all the amenities you need from an apartment. Located about 5 mins on foot from the beach plus a handful of good restaurants and cafes, it’s a lovely spot for those who aren't looking to stay in the busier areas of Qingdao—though these busier areas are easily accessible by cab. This was my first time using Air B&B and it was a success on all accounts due to the aforementioned items and also a helpful host. If I return to Qingdao, I’ll say in the same place again (that is if it’s not already scooped up by you lot). Thanks Ye!
Ye's apartment is so familiar that you could almost forget that you're on vacation. It is perfect for a family of 3 or 4 and you will surely feel as if you were at home. You can find it have one of the most convenient surroundings in Qingdao, especially you are interested in culture. There are museums, exhibitions, and grand theater within walking distance. And Laoshan beach nearby is lovely and romantic in summer night.
This was a wonderful place in Qingdao. I found the location to be quite nice, though perhaps not for traditional reasons. It is not very close to the closest thing Qingdao has to a city center. A cab ride between the apartment and the city center is about 30 minutes, but should cost only 30 yuan. Because the apartment is not near the center, the beaches around it (yes within walking distance!) are not nearly as crowded and messy as the beaches closer to the city center. Yet, since this is a city of 9 million and a popular vacation spot for Beijingers, the beaches are not woefully empty and deserted. They are vibrant with street venders and locals looking to relax. Furthermore, the apartment is close to some very good restaurants and cafes. We were 4 people and found apartment very capable of housing us all with a bit of extra room. If you're looking for a quiet place to relax in Qingdao, this is definitely the place for you.
