We had a great stay in Philly - the apartment is perfectly situated (right by a deli and conveniently located near a parking garage for those driving in), an easy walk to nearby restaurants, cafes, and Rittenhouse square (10-15 mins walking). Jay was accommodating given that we booked the place last minute and for one night, very responsive via email and text, and flexible with our arrival and departure times. He provided us with a separate key set, plenty of space in the room for our belongings (closet and drawer space), towels, and made sure we were comfortable with how to use the kitchen and the living room area (very welcoming!).
Jay was very welcoming and helpful. Everything was super-easy and on time and he seemed flexible and mellow.
Jay lives in a fantastic neighborhood--a great area to dine out and-or walk around day or night. That's what you are paying for here, I think. We had a lovely Friday evening--Jay left for the whole night so we had the whole place to ourselves. We walked around the neighborhood, found a great little place to get single bottles of rare beers (called "The Foodery") then came back and watched HBO on Jay's giant widescreen TV.
When booking I was having trouble getting a clear image from the description, so just to help others who might have some of the same questions I had--you share the upstairs bathroom with Jay, whose bedroom is right next to / across from the guest room. The guest room bed is a double. The place is small but two stories--a small studio-style livingrm-kitchen with a little spiral staircase that goes up to a small area with 2 small bedrooms and a bath.
Jay is a great host!!!!!
This was a smooth trip. After 3 other Airbnb reservations cancelled, Jay came through. He was flexible when flights were delayed and gave a quick tour of the neighborhood when we arrived.
I'll book again the net time I'm in town.
Great stay at Jay's apartment. Ideal place to stay in Philadelphia. So central and very easy to get around from there.
The apartment was close to Rittenhouse Square and convenient to transportation. It was clean and comfortable, and Jay left some nice touches - a little shampoo sample on the pillow! He was easy to deal with, communicative and concerned for our comfort.
One comment for those who have trouble getting up from low seats: The bed is comfortable, but it's quite low. Otherwise, everything was fine.
Effortless, easy and an absolute pleasure to deal with.
Jay was friendly and helpful, exactly what you'd want in an airbnb host. He was very flexible with check-in and check-out times, which helped us out quite a lot.
The apartment itself was simple and clean with a solid internet connection. The location is good for someone visiting center city. We were able to get anywhere we needed by a short walk.
Jed was a wonderful host, responded quickly to my questions. The studio is as pictured, the bed was comfortable, and there is a pub on the street level of the building in case you're too tired to walk the few blocks to Rittenhouse Square. Excellent location. Neighbors might be a bit noisy, so bring your earplugs!
Jed was very accommodating, especially with my last minute request. He made sure that everything was fine during my stay.
Jed is an excellent guest. He was super self-sufficient and easy-going the week he stayed with us. Highly recommended!
Jed was awesome. He communicated well, was courteous to my friends, and didn't burn down my house. What more could you want? Thanks man!
