Susana fue un excelente anfitrion! Me hizo sentir muy comodo, las descripciones tanto del barrio como de las comodidades es tal cual figuran en el anuncio. Fue una muy buena experiencia y sin lugar a dudas volveria a hospedarme con Susana
I had a great time staying at Susana's home in Williamsburg. Firstly the area is fantastic; within walking distance of some of Brooklyn's best bars and eateries, I spent more time in the neighbourhood at night than I did in Manhattan.
When I wasn't out though Susana's place was fantastic. It's really homely and comfortable, and Susana (and Bonzo) were great hosts; always happy to have a chat and a cup of tea and help me with anything. The room is really spacious and being a basement space it's super quiet; I slept almost a little too well at night! One thing to be aware of, and I think people have mentioned it before, is the height of the ceiling in the bedroom. I'm 6ft and it was just okay for me, but in a few spots I had to duck. Susana warned me in advance and I was totally cool with it, but I probably wouldn't reccomend it for anyone taller than me.
I'd be very happy to stay at Susana's next time I'm in New York.
I enjoyed five nights in Susana and Bonzo's home.
I liked the location because it is a quick walk to the subway going to Manhattan, and also because there are lots of nice cafes close by.
Susana made me feel welcome and comfortable in her home and also to NYC.
Susana's private garden room was exceptionally lovely. My boyfriend and I stayed for three nights and didn't want to leave! The room itself had a pull-out chair bed (looks like the photos), space for hanging clothes and a small desk. The rest of the house was also great and we had full access to the kitchen. My favorite part of this stay was the location -- just blocks from the L train and all of the amazing restaurants, bars and attractions Brooklyn has to offer. Susana is a fantastic host, and so is her adorable dog!!!
Susana was an excellent host and very warm and inviting a real retreat in a vibrant neighborhood of New York. Very quiet room off a beautiful garden. The bathroom was super clean , spacious and nice and the main house very cozy, charming and a wonderful place to rest and unwind.
I really enjoyed the week I spent in Susana's little garden house. Susana was a great host, easy to reach prior to my arrival and very welcoming when I got there. I always enjoyed talking to her in the evenings. The garden house was a nice little private space, bathroom in the main house clean and spacious. I liked that the house was located in a quieter, residential street, but close to busier parts of Williamsburg and very close to the L train to get to Manhattan quickly. Would definitely recommend staying at Susana's. (In the winter, I could imagine the garden house being a little on the cold side, although it was perfectly fine for me in October, and there are heaters, too.)
We had a wonderful stay at Susana's place. She is a great host and the room is more than nice. We had lots of fun with her cute dogs.
The area is perfect and close to the L-Train which takes you very fast to Manhattan. Thank you, Susana.
Susana was very warm and her place was a perfect cozy room to enjoy and relax as it has a beautiful garden in front and the neighborhood is also cool, with amazing restaurants and good coffee shops.
My wife and I definitely recommend her place if you are looking to run away from the craziness of the city and still are just a few minutes from Manhattan.
I couldn't recommend Susana's place more! Please don't hesitate to book.
I stayed at Susana's place for about 3 weeks. Susana made me feel at home the minute I arrived. She offered me a drink, helped me with my luggage and introduced me to her lovely dog Bonzo.
The room itself was spacious (probably more spacious as my own apartment!), with a desk, full sized Queen bed and a day bed. There was plenty of room for my 3 HUGE suitcases and lots of storage space for my stuff. The room (and the whole house) was sparkling clean and comfortable.
The location was ideal. Walking distance to shops, restaurants and bars, yet on a quiet residential street. It was a few minutes walk to Lorimer-Metropolitan (L and G trains) and a few minutes walk to Graham (L train). You could be in Manhattan in about 10 minutes.
What really made the trip though, was Susana herself. She is kind, generous, and one of the most interesting people I've ever met. She was never intrusive, very laid back and in general just the best kind of host you could wish for.
I would stay there again in a heartbeat!
The reservation was canceled 7 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
Absolutely fantastic guest. Susana and her family were so easy to get along with and so very interesting to talk to. They interacted with our family very easily and were very open if they needed something
I have visited Susana's home in Williamsburg and it is totally charming...A wild flower garden in the back with a little house...that's where I usually stay and it is like being in the countryside in the middle of New York City. I've also slept in her downstair's bedroom where it so quiet and comfy. Williamsburg has the best coffee shops, great restaurants and 10 minutes on the L Train and you are at Union Square in Manhattan. Susana has that Mediterranean hospitality where there is always a cup of tea ready for you!
I met Susana while living in Spain back in 2008, and when we moved back to the USA, we remained very close friends. I had the opportunity of spending three days in Brooklyn, NY with Susana and was amazed at the rich culture her neighborhood has. Walking distance from the subway, cool shops, cafes and restaurants. Susana is an awesome host, and very witty. Susana has good insight, and a warm heart. Be ready to life hard, and listen to her wonderful stories about film making and traveling. Anyone will find it relaxing to stay at her home. Bonzo is a bonus, a sweet dog that loves everybody.
Susana's home is a cozy, bright and comfortable apartment, right in the middle of one of the most vibrant neighborhoods in New York City. While it is located near a great cosmopolitan area, it also happens to be in a quiet and pleasant street. It has a nice garden that makes you feel in the country side, but a few blocks away you can cath a train that will take you to other exciting places in the Big Apple. Susana is a great host and her place is full of positive energy.
