Jeri welcomed us with fresh plums and flowers from the garden, and a map of Point Reyes for us to take on our travels. The hideaway was clean and quiet and just as advertised. She answered all our questions and gave us the low down on which beaches we could take our dogs to. The fresh coffee and cream were a wonderful touch, and the neighborhood is filled with lovely homes and farms, with everything from horses to chickens to sheep, and even a self service farm stand. Fresh arugula and zucchini from the garden, and tons of blackberries and raspberries made the stay magical. The Bambi sightings were the icing on the cake. We look forward to returning to this peaceful spot in the future.
Jeri's Hideaway is a wonderful place to stay while in the Point Reyes area. Quiet, clean, cozy, well furnished, with a relaxing deck and lots of privacy. We loved our time here and will stay again if we're ever back!
Small, yet nice.
Jeri's cottage is amazing. It's very spacious, and it has a great little deck in back. If you have a dog that doesn't scale fences, it's great to relax on the deck with your pooch - it's very secure.
Jeri is incredibly kind and welcoming, and you won't find a better host. She even gives you homemade jam that is delicious. I shared it with my friends, and they couldn't get enough.
The location of the cottage is great, too! It's so close to Point Reyes Station, and it's still easy to drive up to Inverness or over to Marshall for oysters.
Thanks for your private feed-back. I didn't know about that.
And sorry about the dog linens - they had all been used by the former dog and were in the wash!
All my best,
We had a great time at the Hideaway. The description and pictures are accurate. The studio is very light and cheery, and also very quiet. It has everything you need tucked into a compact space. Jeri was warm and welcoming and had good advice regarding local restaurants.
Jeri was home when we checked in - the Hideaway was in a nice quiet neighborhood. The refrigerator was thoughtfully stocked with coffee and a few condiments; we found everything we needed for a delightful stay.
Jeri's Hideaway was all the positive things other reviewers have said. I'll add what made it special for me. The blue-flowered borage plants were covered with honeybees the whole time I was there. Red-tailed hawks were circling above the trees and calling out. I had to google the description of a bird singing right outside my window to find out it was a cowbird! I had no idea cowbirds could sing (they're famous for laying eggs in other birds' nests) but it was a lovely trilling song. And there was the constant sound of water flowing over a creek bed. It wasn't a creek or even Jeri's fountain--it was the wind rippling through the eucalyptus and cypress trees.
Thank you, Jeri
Very quiet and peasant spacious simple cottage and nice outdoor areas. Well equipped kitchen.Friendly host. Would stay there again.
The Hideaway was cozy and charming! Perfectly centrally located just a short bike ride or walk away from the heart of Point Reyes Station. Especially nice to be able to grill outdoors.
This is a well-equipped and comfortable spot; we especially liked the outdoor deck. Jeri is an extremely welcoming and gracious host. The location is perfect for visiting the national seashore, and enjoying Point Reyes Station.
