The flat is very well located. It's just a short walk to the Sacre Coeur. It's near to public transportation, restaurants and stores.
It's fully equipped with nespresso mashine, oven, washing machine, microwave, tv, wifi. Also there is very efficient heating so a stay during the winter is also comfortable.
Entering was like a puzzle out of a video game. I like video games. You enter a code to open a door then you enter another code to open another door. You go upstairs, find a box, enter a third code to open it and find a key. With the key you go back down open a box where you find another box. You enter a code again to open it and find the real keys. Then on the door itself there are 3 locks. You figure out which key to use for which lock and then you're in. Cool! :)
Cyril himself was away during our visit so we didn't get to meet him. He was still reachable at all times by phone or over airbnb and did his best to accommodate all our needs.
The only confusion was regarding the bed sheets and towels. We didn't know which ones where dirty, which clean and which were supposed to be used. Also the cleaning lady did not come before and after our visit so we needed to rely on the previous guests to leave the place clean and also we needed to ensure that we clean for the next guests. Probably this was the case because we were there over Christmas.
Overall we recommend Cyril as a host and his flat and would visit again.
Bon séjour bonne communication
Logement conforme à la description. Bonne accueil de Cyril, même à distance et hôte très réactif aux demandes téléphoniques !! A recommander...
The reservation was canceled 10 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
You can't get a better deal on an apartment in Paris, especially considering how roomy and well-equipped it was. Having a Nespresso machine, a flatscreen TV and a washing machine were all nice to have, too. The apartment feels closer to Clignancourt than Montmartre. Everything was quiet and we felt safe.
Cyril was quick to reply and provided clear details on how to find and access the apartment, which is in an interesting area and easy walking distance from metros. He left detailed notes on how to use the apartment, wifi etc. Thanks for leaving us some coffee! I am in love with Paris!
The apartment itself is fine - it was clean enough (there was some laundry hanging up in the bathroom) and medium comfortable (all IKEA furniture so not wildly comfortable but fine), and location is near enough to Montmartre/restaurants and things (10 min walk) but we had a pretty challenging stay from a communications standpoint. There was absolutely no information about the apartment when we got there and though Cyril tried hard to be helpful he speaks very little English and was not in Paris.
Getting into the apartment with the three locks and two different spots for the keys was confusing and when we got in we didn't have information on how to access the wifi (we never got on the entire weekend we had to go work out of a cafe - everything he told us did not work and we could barely understand his suggestions via text), we didn't know which towels to use, where to put garbage (no bag), how to turn on the heat etc. Plus all of the appliances were European so if you are an American it can be hard to figure these things out. I would recommend looking elsewhere as this ended up being a real headache for us. Cyril seems very nice and tried hard to make it better but we couldn't handle the communication challenges and lack of organization. We are AirBNB hosts ourselves and have stayed with amazing people all over the world, unfortunately this was our first not-so-great experience.
The apartment is very well situated. Nice neighborhood, close to shops, the metro and tourist destinations. It is nice, cosy and well equipped. You find everything you need.
Cyril was in Columbia during my stay but it was easy to stay in contact with him though mail and even FaceTime . He made sure that I got all information I needed and that the apartment was prepared for my arrival.
I really can recommend this place for a relaxed stay in Paris.
The apartment is not so big as it might seem in the pictures but it's really very nice and cozy! The minor drawback is that there is almost no place to put the clothes - the only wardrobe was fully occupied with the clothes. But it's ok, we managed without it :)
The location is simply great! There are 2 metro stations very close to the apartment. You can easily reach Montmartre on foot. You can even see Basilique du Sacré Cœur from the street :) There are a lot of cafes and shops in the neighborhood. We really enjoyed our stay there!
