I am currently teaching English as a Second Language in New York's Westchester County. My husband Lev and I are parents to a young, preschool-aged child. Previously, I taught teacher candidates in the M.A. program at Hunter College in NYC after completing my doctorate at Teachers College, Columbia University. My husband Lev is a theoretical physicist at IBM.
Both Lev and I were born in the Bay Area of California: he in Berkeley and I in San Francisco. Although I spent most of my life in San Francisco, he grew up mostly in Manchester, England. (We met in the desert town of Kashgar, along the Silk Road in China.) Like most people, we both enjoy exploring new places and new foods and hope to instill this sense of curiosity in our son Noah.
