My working life centers around art. I am an independent curator, and do exhibitions here and abroad. I write about art (books, catalogs, articles) and deal in art of the Americas. I have a large, widely-dispersed and extremely active family, three children, six grandchildren and many cousins and collateral relatives, all of whom are close. I lived a good part of my adult life in New York city, but now live in the country. I cook with or without friends every night in lieu of meditation, and have never eaten anything in the world that I did not like. I write every day, don't have a TV. I am a careful guest, as mine are, and travel as economically as possible so I can then try great restaurants. I am physically very active, and enjoy good health. Motto: The golden rule is as good as it gets.
