Chris was a perfect host, really friendly and he has a great knowledge of the area. He has made a practical guide of the walking routes and places to visit and he even connected us with friends of his so we could go and walk their dog on the beach! The house is cosy and has all the things you need for a comfortable stay. It is located in a strange little village but it has great acces to all the nice places and routes! Thanks a lot!!!
Thanks Katrein, I wish you both well and all luck for 2015. Chris
Chris was a great host, really accommodating with lots of good local advice and sorted out the kitchen tap really quickly. Also generous with the larder, and with wood and coal for the fire. Some great tips for walking and beaches too. No signal for the TV but that was a blessing and kids didn't even want ipad with so much to do locally. Looking forward to our next visit!
Thanks Michael, I'm so glad you all have a good time and discovered the area, so much to fit in, I look forward to seeing you another time. Best wishes Chris
We had a lovely holiday in North Cornwall at the Old Trap House at the end of August. The area is ideally situated to access a wide range of places on anyone's 'to see' list, we particularly liked Trebarwith Strand, Daymer Bay and Boscastle, all within easy reach. The house itself was nice and comfortable in general. The beds were very comfy, the bedrooms, bathroom and kitchen were perfectly spacious, clean and well equipped. The lounge was a little tired decoratively although has the potential to be a lovely cosy room with the log fire. Chris himself is a really lovely guy and he made us feel exceptionally welcome, a perfect host indeed and we thank him for being so welcoming.
Great stay. The house was comfortable and it was a nice quiet village.
Lovely cottage, comfy beds everything we wanted for Cornish cottage. We didn't have tv reception but managed with laptop, Very homely and lovely home touches, like veges and eggs and milk and a pantry with lots of extras. Quirky and interesting especially the double yellow lines outside the front door.. Thanks Chris we enjoyed our stay, sorry about the plumbing hitch but we didn't do it honestly!
We had a great holiday! The house was so near to the coast that it took no time at all to pop to Trebarwith Strand, where you can do some beautiful coastal walks and the beach there is beautiful and great for a bit of body boarding : ) We were also close to Port Isaac, beautiful working fishing village, where we went on the first evening for dinner - a great way to start our Cornish break!
Chris was a great host and on hand for any queries we had. He had great local knowledge of walks in the area, and suggested some great places to visit....he also had a lot of guides for the local area and a little library of reading books too : )
The cottage was really easy to find, and Chris was there to show us round. It comfortable and clean and parking was easy and handy. There was a convenience store just at the end of the road that had everything we needed....including the newspaper and pasties! And a fish and chip shop close by too.
We had a lovely stay at the old trap house, everything was clean and comfortable. There were basics in the cupboard and maps for the surrounding coastal towns which was perfect for us as we wanted to see as much as Cornwall had to offer! Chris himself was super helpful, especially as we did not have an exact arrival time! Would definitely recommend for anyone wanting to stay in North Cornwall! :)
The Old Trap House was clean , comfortable ,and well equipped. It was perfectly situated to tour North Cornwall and Chris had left plenty of maps and suggestions which were very helpful. After long days out it was wonderful to come back and light a fire in the cosy sitting room .
