I am mostly-vegan and 100% vegetarian and also avoid leather shoes and bags etc. whenever possible.
I am a 51 year old Euro-American physicist (summa cum laude), Harvard grad (Ed.M.), and current PhD researcher, and Buddhist contemplative (25 years). I am also a chaplain, and am now finishing my last internship at UCLA Santa Monica. I am a published scholar and also have a hermitage in Sagarmartha Mount Everest National Park in Nepal, where I lived for many years. I am fluent in Sanskrit, Tibetan, Nepali, and Chinese, and have lived or visited most everywhere except Russia, Africa, and South & Central America.
That also means I have cleared the background fingerprinting checks over 3 times in recent years - the most recent in November 2013 (I did my first clinical at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, and the second and third at LA County Hospital).
My main obsession is translating obscure Tibetan texts into English and considering the transformative dynamics of Buddhist contemplative practices. I am also fond of georgraphy, motorcycles and rollerblades, and music. My music tastes are diverse, from Puccini to Puff Daddy, & classic rock. I am very committed to pure food and wholesome, holistic living. I do not take intoxicants including alcohol.
