Gail is a wonderful host. She hooked me up in a moment of need and has been way cool. Totally recommended.
This was a great location for exploring downtown Olympia and we couldn't be happier. We had a very relaxing time in a calming space and loved getting to see the garden! Breakfast was delicious! We will definitely stay again on future trips.
Gail met us when we arrived and gave us a quick tour. Quaint little house right in the downtown. Great access to gardens and the kitchen. Comfy bed and great folks. We will stay again if we are in Olympia.
Lovely home, very comfortable and cosy. Hot tub out back in the garden, comfortable bed and plenty of space (you can use the sitting room and kitchen).
Couple of cats that come and go, we were lucky enough that they choose to be around the house for our last day!
Gail was very welcoming, helpful and friendly, but left us to get on with our adventure. Good balance of sociable and having your own space.
GREAT SPACE FOR THOSE WANTING TO BE CLOSE TO THE CAPITOL BUILDINGS...
My reason for needing a place for a week in Olympia was that my daughter was a Senate Page for a week and when I all the Host Family contacts I was given had for one reason or another not worked out...I remain so grateful that I was able to book this particular airbnb for a variety of reasons that include these...
1. It felt like a home away from home and a visit to a favorite aunt's house as well. It was cozy, clean, thoughtfully accessorized, and a welcoming place to land and have be homebase.
2. VERY comfortable mattress and pillows and NICE linens and towels.
3. Perfect amount of space for two for a week of togetherness.
4. Kitchen was well stocked with cooking tools, plates, glassware.
5. Great location in that it was 1/2 mile from the Capitol and 1/2 mile from downtown Olympia.
6. Great garden and community space right out the back door.
7. Gail, my host was gracious and friendly and a pleasure to share a cup of coffee with when we were around at the same time--when she wasn't attending to a Fertile Ground guest. Feel like I made a friend.
8. This space would be a great place for a short personal retreat for a few close friends because it also has other meeting space options in close proximity. (I plan on coming back whenever I need a weekend away from Seattle that is an hour's drive.:))
9. Gail was responsive from the moment of my inquiry, did a true job of describing the place, makes a nice latte, and takes good care of her guests.
Gail is an intuitive host, full of warmth and down-to-earth-ness -- both my husband and I felt at home pretty much the instant we arrived, thanks to Gail's notes and thoughtfulness. We already made a reservation for the next time we're in town.
Gail was a great host and her space was amazing. My boyfriend and I went for 2 nights and loved the location. We walked everywhere. The bedroom was adorable and the bed was soooo comfy. The bathroom had everything necessary and I would stay again in a heart beat.
Gail was very welcoming and her house was super cozy. I would definitely stay there again.
We LOVED stayed at Gail's place over xmas. Gail was wonderfully accommodating, kind, and a great communicator. The space itself is cozy, adorable, and the espresso machine and hot tub really were a Christmas miracle. We only wish we could've stayed there all day instead of heading to the family's house :)
One morning we walked to downtown to our favorite coffee shop, Caffe Vita. This location is so perfect.
We will definitely stay with Gail next time we are down visiting family.
Thanks Reid. Hope to meet you nect time. I could feel your happy vibes in the house when I got home.
This cute spot is in a great location. Olympia is not a very big town, so you can walk from here to pretty much anywhere downtown, or even the inner east and west side neighborhoods. It's also quite close to the Capitol building. The house is snug, clean, and well-decorated. Thoughtful touches are provided for like plenty of towels and morning espresso in the espresso maker. There is also a cool urban farm and, yes, a hot tub.
When I arrived, Gail had several family members over in what looked like a cozy and cheerful scene. Because she was otherwise occupied, she had one of her friends show me around. The next morning, I left to go to yoga, taking the keys provided, and made sure to secure the doors as it appeared Gail was out. I finished my class to find a frantic phone call from Gail that I had somehow locked her out of the house. Apparently the keys don't work on some of the locks, which I had locked, not being privy to this information. Luckily this message was shortly followed by another message that she had found her way in. When I stopped back by to make sure everything was ok, she seemed to have things sorted out. I have to admit I was a bit rattled by this turn of events, as I am sure Gail was as well! I am happy to report that the rest of my stay was uneventful.
Gail was lovely to have stay with us! Kind and considerate!
It was a pleasure to host Gail and her friend! Looking forward to their next stay!
Thanks for staying and enjoying the ranch..It was nice having you! :)
Gail and her friends were great guests. We always appreciate hosting and getting feedback from fellow Airbnb hosts. I am looking forward to staying at Gail's place sometime in the future. Thanks for booking with us. And thank you for leaving the cottage so clean and tidy upon your departure.
Gail and her friend Karen were wonderful guests.. Being airbnb hosts themselves, they seem to know how to leave the place tidy and clean and they bring with them a very positive and appreciative attitude. You will love them both if you are lucky enough to host them. We miss them already and hope they will be back :)
Gail and her grandaughter were so quiet! It was a pleasure having them- even though I thought we would have more of a visit! Thank you for being yourselves and sharing a bit of yourselves here . You are super nice people!
Gail and her friend Diana (visiting from NY) were lovely house guests. Gail runs her own beautiful B & B in Olympia (Fertile Ground), so when they were preparing to leave she offered to strip the beds. Oh how sweet.
I hope to get down to Olympia sometime to stay for a night or two at her lovely place.
