Step into my Munich pottery studio, where I’ll teach you Bavarian craftsmanship as you make your own souvenir. We’ll use high-quality air-dry clay so you can take your piece home with you the same day. • We’ll start with a warm welcome, refreshments, and an introduction to pottery. • Choose which design inspired by Munich’s heritage you’ll create—whether it’s a custom beer stein with Bavarian motifs, a Wiesn-style mug, or a decorative piece like a pretzel-themed magnet. No matter your skill level, I’ll guide you through each step, showing you traditional techniques as well as modern ceramic methods. • Enjoy snacks and drinks from a menu designed specifically for this experience while relaxing and chatting with other participants. At the end of our workshop, you’ll receive a gift set consisting of paint and a brush so you can paint your souvenir when you get home.

Bring your camera or smartphone to Munich’s picturesque Englischer Garten (English Garden) and stroll around the park with a professional photographer. • We’ll meet at my photo studio, located nearby, and then head into the park. I’ll share stories about its past and present as we visit landmarks. • We’ll stop at several spots that offer particularly good backdrops for photos, including the Kleinhesseloher See, a serene lake, and the Eisbachwelle, where surfers ride the waves. • Along the way, I’ll share practical tips on the interplay of light, image composition, and camera settings to help you create stunning photos. You’ll leave with enhanced photography skills and a collection of beautiful shots by which to remember your time in Munich.

As we examine dirndls, lederhosen, and accessories, I’ll explain how materials, patterns, and colors vary by region and tradition. • Dive into Tracht’s connection to Oktoberfest and how these garments have become synonymous with the festival. We’ll discuss how Tracht is being reimagined for modern life while remaining true to its roots. After the session, you’ll be invited to explore Spieth & Wensky’s Tracht clothing and accessories. Take in the craftsmanship, and perhaps find a piece of Bavarian heritage to bring home as a memento.

German and Turkish wine pairings at historic Viktualienmarkt

Spend a relaxed afternoon tasting wine and snacking on Turkish small plates in our shop, Gürmet Wein und Meze am Markt, located in Munich’s iconic Viktualienmarkt. • Once you settle in, I’ll hand out glasses of German sparkling wine and talk about the 200-year-old history of the Viktualienmarkt, which has evolved into a major culinary destination. • Over the course of the next two hours, we’ll taste five white and red wines from Germany and Turkey, including some you may never have encountered outside their country of origin. • We’ll pair the wines with a selection of four Turkish meze dishes (small plates), all traditionally vegetarian, as we talk about German and Turkish wine history. You’ll gain new insights into the wines of both countries, learn to pair German wines with Turkish flavors, and get an insider’s perspective on what else to explore at the Viktualienmarkt.

Ring mit Botschaft in Silber selber herstellen in Bayern

Nach der Begrüßung stellt jeder einen Rings aus Silber mit Botschaft her - ganz nach dem Motto: "Lasst Ringe sprechen!" Als Erstes wird der Entwurf gemacht (Wunschtext für den Ring und es wird die Ringgröße gemessen) Dann geht es schon los mit dem Stempeln der Buchstaben. Danach wird der Ring gebogen und schon ist das Schmuckstück fertig. Bei jedem Schritt bin ich anwesend und unterstütze wo es nötig ist. Natürlich gebe ich Tricks und Kniffe gerne weiter. Wer möchte kann von mir alles über den Beruf des Goldschmiedes erfahren und einen Einblick bekommen was man da so erlebt. Zur Beachtung, die Materialkosten werden separat je nach Ringbreite und Ringgröße vor Ort angerechnet. Pro Ring sind das zwischen 40 und 50 Euro. Ansonsten zu beachten Vorkenntnisse sind nicht nötig. Ich gebe nur Einzelkurse oder kleine Gruppen - wir werden Spaß haben. Bitte einen Spruch, Satz oder Wort mit maximal 30 Zeichen mitbringen. z.B. Munich - A History of War and Peace

Meet me for a world history walk in Munich and dive into a past of war and peace. We will stand, where the celebrations of the breakout of World War I - the "great seminal catastrophe" of the 20th century - took place and where Hitler's Beer Hall Putsch ended in gunfire. We will learn, why the Nazis called Munich "the capital of the movement" and why the era between 1914-1945 is rightly considered the 2nd Thirty Years War. We will talk about Napoleon and his huge impact on German identity and unification and learn, how these disastrous wars of the past defined our new today and times of peace. This will be a high level lecture from a real expert and I promise you that these two hours will still leave you confused at the end - but on a much higher level. Because I always want to encourage dialogue and the exchange of views, knowledge and philosophical thoughts about history and mankind, our groups are always small and non-touristy. PLEASE NOTE: The length of the tour sometimes depends on the size of the group and the amount of questions - so maybe count in +/- 15-20 minutes. Learn How to Bake an Apple Strudel

Together we will bake 2 apple strudels! First, I will teach you how to prepare the dough. During the resting time of the dough we will peel the apples and prepare the filling of the Strudel. I believe it is always important to observe firstly! This is why I will show you how to pull, fill and roll the dough and place the apple strudel on the baking tray. And then it is your turn: you will try yourself and create your own apple strudel! Once our strudels will be ready, we will enjoy the fresh and warm apple strudel with a cup of coffee or tea. Of course you will get a paper copy of the recipe. Depending on the season we will use our own apples grown in our big garden. Other things to note 2.5 hours should be reserved for this experience as the strudel will be freshly prepared, baked and eaten.

Eisbach - Munich's unique river surf!

If you want to learn something special while having a unique travel experience, come and try river surfing! There are different waves for all skill levels! Meeting at the wave, we'll get into the wetsuit, learn some basic rules within minutes. Right after that, you'll get the chance to spend 45min on the water. Changing afterwards again takes a couple of minutes and if you're keen we finish of by having some tea or beer in my favorite little cafe close-by. Other things to note - you need to know how to swim - not kidding: I had people interested who were not able to swim and still wanted to surf...

A Unique Evening of Beer, Food and Historical Exploration

You'll get a beer upon arrival on Marienplatz, then off for a mouth-watering sandwich from a local butcher in the food market butchers row, which has been here for centuries. As we walk through the Viktualean Market, (food market), the role of beer in shaping society, culture, and science will be a topic. Dive into stories and historical rabbit holes, bringing beer’s past to life. My jovial inquisitive side defies any unanswerable question! From ancient brewing to modern breakthroughs. Sampling unlimited local brews, I'll show you what makes this city a world-renowned beer capital. We will be sure to include the city's darker history. We will pass by the place where Hitler's third Reich all began and talk about the role beerhalls played in his assent to dictatorship. We do a Beer Museum Tour at the Beer and Oktoberfest Museum Stubl. Learn about the origins of Oktoberfest, roasted malt differences, Munich’s pioneering beer innovations, and its global influence. We may encounter other private groups, but it's closed to the general public when we go. Dinner is served towards the end of the tour, a three course meal at a local's favourite over the road from the world famous Hofbrauhaus... a good place for a last beer. Meeting Point: Meet at the bottom of the Glockenspiel Tower at Marienplatz, where a cold beer awaits. See you soon.

Snowshoe Mountain Hiking,

We will hike from Bichlersee to Hohe Asten. For this moderately to medium tour we meet at the Jewellery Atelier in Oberaudorf. Before I will organise the snowshoes and poles at the rental store .We will drive together with our private cars, about 15 minutes to the Bichlersee. From up there, we will have a magnificent view at the Wilder Kaiser to the valley below. After we put on our snowshoes we will hike for 2 hours on hilly paths, 350 m ascent through the winterly forest at 1100 m. Along quiet sunny paths, the tour will lead us, safe from avalanches or steep grounds to the famous mountain guesthous Hohe Asten. After a beautifull view to Heuberg, Kranzhorn and Spitzstein, the Bavarian mountains of the Inn Valley, we will have a good snack, some coffey and cake, we hike back the same way. There will be always time for photos and beautiful mountain views, for fun and great stories to tell. Hiking through a winterly forests with snowshoes, gives me pure happiness and will be fun any weather. Good physical fitness will be of advantage on this tour. An absolute beginners tour, 2.5 h, plus visiting the Tatzelwurm waterfall, can be requested.

Party in an Oktoberfest tent

Prost! Party in an Oktoberfest tent There are still some spots in a big tent on the opening day available! I made some evening reservations in Oktoberfest tents. Only in the evening you´ll have the real Oktoberfest experience. Most tents are closed in the evening and Saturday afternoon because they are packed. Only people with a reservation will get in. As rules, time slots and prices vary from tent to tent, please ask me for details before you’ll book an experience. If your preferred day is already fully booked, please send me an email. There are some more spots available. Lets dance on the benches and sing Oktoberfest songs! Let's spend a great time together at the biggest party in the world! If you are still in the mood to party when our tent will close, we will join one of many After Oktoberfest parties which take place all over Munich. The entrance fee for the After party is not included. I love the Oktoberfest and I know the best "After Oktoberfest" parties. Each experience will last around 6 hours. Vegeterian food available.
