Family-friendly vacation rentals in Ticino

The rental was beautiful with an amazing view. It took 10 minutes to get to town by car. Easy drive to Varenna and Bellano. The outdoor patio was great with a large area under cover.

I recommend this apartment loft! It has beautiful views of Lake Como from the small village of Perledo which is in the mountains above Varenna. The apartment was very clean and spacious for 2 people with lots of amenities. We used the spa and heated pool which was nice. Signing up for a time slot wasn’t a problem as there was lots of availability. I recommend renting a car to drive around unless you wait for the bus and ferry schedules. There isn’t anything within walking distance so have a means of transportation to get to Varenna (10 minutes down the mountain). We had the best time and Andrea was very helpful and informative. If we had any questions we got a quick response. 10/10 recommend!!

Super charming home with absolutely stunning views of Lake Como better seen in person. The amenities were wonderful and the hosts were so very friendly, attentive and helpful. Highly recommend staying here! Also, be sure to book any transportation ahead of time.

Everything is brand new in the apartment. Martha was very helpful in explainjng everythjng upon check-in. The location is amazing, 5 mins walking distance from the Duomo.

beautiful location. i prefer varnessa to belagio. flat is just the right size for a couple. if there's anything I want to mention is that it's in a much higher location than I expected. one would definitely need a car for more frequent visit to the town below. the host is so friendly and always available and responsive.

Sonia's Airbnb is breathtaking. The view of Lake Como is even more beautiful than the photos in the listing. Sonia is a wonderful host - she provides recommendations, answered all of my questions and always made sure that we had everything we needed. I wished we had explored the lake with her on her sailboat so if you get the opportunity I would book it! The only thing I would advise future renters is that the road to Sonia's Airbnb in Brunate is VERY, VERY narrow and winds around and around. It is very easy to get lost and go down the wrong street. If you're renting car, try to get the smallest car possible - it will help you to maneuver the narrows roads. There is a funicular stop close to the house so you could walk there and take it to Como or to the top of Brunate. It is much easier to get off at the top of Brunate and walk downhill to the house. Highly recommend if you are looking for a peaceful and beautiful getaway.

We stayed at Francesca’s for a few days and it was magical. We felt we had our own little villa, with a beautiful terrace overlooking the lush garden where we could enjoy a morning coffee or evening spritz. The home is full of charm and beauty and was the perfect backdrop to our northern Italy adventure. It was spacious, had a lot of areas where we could lounge around as a group or individually to read, play some records, relax. It had all the amenities we needed to feel at home. There was a lovely Jacuzzi and a shower with great water pressure. The two bedrooms had lots of closet space and the beds were very comfortable. Franscesca was very responsive and easy to communicate with and gave us some great local recommendations. If you stay here, you will want to rent a bike because it is a bit of a walk into town, but the area is beautiful and private and along a lovely canal so it’s worth it. There is a tenant that lives on the property but they are very quiet and no bother.

The home was very welcoming, clean, and beautifully rustic. The house is in a quiet location with a lovely view of the lake, and the directions we were given allowed to get there with no problem. Also, we were greeted by fresh eggs, juice, sweets, sparkling wine and other gifts at the place, which is very nice and commendable. Any recommendations for this place if you want a quiet and enjoyable vacation, we felt right at home.

WOW!!! What can I say, the Lake guesthouse is possibly the best Airbnb Guesthouse we have stayed in abroad. It has everything. The host Franco could not have been nicer, he is a complete gent and it was an honor to meet him. My partner and I were in Orta San Giulio to get married and we used Franco's Lake House as our resting place for a few nights. It was simply perfect. Incredibly clean, stunning area, the lake is perfect for swimming in and Franco's attention to detail is second to none. Amazing. We will definitely be back :)

This is SUCH a unique place. We absolutely loved staying here. Such a neat spot.

I stayed at Marco's for about two months for work and I had an amazing stay! Everything from the communication prior to my arrival to the checkin into the flat was flawless! Marco and his sister Paola are very kind and generous people that did everything they could in order to make my stay as good as possible. The area is pretty quiet and the apartment very well located if you wanna explore the city. Close to two metro lines, and close to Isola with lots of bars and restaurants. You won't be disappointed if you pick Marco's apartment as your base to explore the city of Milan!! I highly recommend!!

Antonietta's home was morevthan beautiful. She is a kind host and you can tell that she takes pride in it, from the inside out. She has a beautiful yard and garden, where she can be seen regularly tending to it. This place felt very comfortable. It is a climb up the mountain to get there for those who are fit. Otherwise you will have to takevthe bus most of the way up. Antonietta personally walks it every day.

We had a wonderful time in Beatrice’s loft! It was a short walk to the Metro, and a nice walk anywhere we needed to go. Her place is spacious, very clean, comfortable and so lovely! We look forward to coming back to stay again in the future!

He was really helpful and accommodating! Loved staying at his place, and the service was over our expectations. We went out of his way to make sure our stay was great. He picked us up with his shuttle service and helped us to the only store open during the evening we arrived! We’re very happy about our stay!

Emanuele is a great host that communicates promptly and clearly. the penthouse has, as advertised, the greatest views of lake Como. We spent 3 out of the 4 evenings of our stay, at the veranda, with food and a bottle of wine, completely absorbed by the views. the drive from Como to Brunate and back is through (at times) a narrow road but even SUVs and the public bus service manage to go up and down. parking is easy as the house lies at a secluded cul de sac with amazing views over the lake. all in all we had a great stay and we lived the place. We were very warmly welcomed by Silvia. Check-in went very smoothly. We felt very comfortable in the apartment and enjoyed spending time there. Silvia gave us great tips for the area. The absolute highlight is the balcony and the pool. We will be happy to come back!

Absolutely LOVED staying at Anna's apartment! We adored Argegno - a lovely historic town that was much quieter than surrounding towns. Anna's apartment was spacious and the terrace and views were breathtaking. Anna was a wonderful host who was very quick to communicate. We would definitely stay again.

We immensely enjoyed staying in this apartment! It was in a great location downtown and right across from the lake. The apartment was spacious and comfortable, with the highlight being a rotunda with a fantastic view of the lake and mountains. Outside the apartment is a large terrace which also had great views. Another bonus is the affiliation with the hotel, which provided breakfast, pool and the Ticino Ticket (travel and discounts within Ticino). I can't recommend this apartment highly enough!

The accommodation is simply unique! The view with the pool is really gigantic! The place was a dream, we will be back! Everything was as described and in the photos. A super large and modern bathroom.

Amazing host and a breathtaking view. Too bad we couldn't use the pool due to cold windy weather but had an amazing time with family and kids. with only 10 min drive to local attractions and ferry. I would highly recommend this Michele and his property.

Really attractive home with a great pool and pleasant garden, just out of town definitely need a car to explore the local area, which we did. Enjoyed the restaurants in Laveno. Monica is a great host and lovely and friendly. Highly recommended!
