Great place to watch a movie! The Alamo Drafthouse serves excellent food and cocktails during the show. Sound and cinema first class. They have several locations. The Slaughter Lane location is great.

A very nice taken in. The Boardwalk is part of the 10 mile hike and bike trail on Lady Bird Lake - a lush, urban path that meanders along the water’s edge and passes by skyscrapers neighborhoods.

A funky Austin favorite just earned a big accolade: Condé Nast Traveler has named South Congress Avenue the best travel destination in Texas. Great music, shopping, eating, people watching.

A must see. Take a boat ride (only $10 pp) at dusk to see the world famous bats come out from under Congress Street bridge! This is a good company to book with. Nice boats and tour.

A beautiful town to stroll, swim, dine, shop. They did get hit by the floods unfortunately. Clean up is going on. The town is open for business and swimming. Half hour drive.

The San Marcos River bubbles to life from hundreds of springs right in the City's center. Always a refreshing 72 degrees - open year round for tubing, etc.

If you like the outdoors, architecture, art, go here. So pretty. A Villa built at the turn of the century on acres of gardens along the water. Donated to Austin; a museum now. $5 entrance. So nice!
