Been there forever, one of my favorite places in town!
The coffee house breathes the atmosphere of geniality as we know from the 1950s. A pleasant place to read the newspaper while enjoying a cup of coffee, to catch up, or just enjoy the view over the Prinsengracht. Very ordinary and therefore so special. If the weather permits you can also relax on the terrace on the canal, where there is always something to see.
Koffiehuis De Hoek is open from 7.30 am, so that one can enjoy an excellent breakfast. And: the famous apple pies are baked throughout the day. There is also an extensive lunch menu. All this makes the coffee house a popular place for a stopover during shopping in De 9 Straatjes.
