Ok this place is just about as ghetto fabulous as it gets but the fried chicken is amazing and the redbeans are damn good too; not to mention you can walk there from the house and it's dirt cheap.

This is actually a small little grocery store but they have a deli in the back where they make the best shrimp po-boys in town. There is no where to sit but great place to grab something on the run!

This is a nice bar to stop by for a drink on your way to or from the french quarter. In fact, a cab ride should be about $5 and you can walk to anywhere else you want to go in the FQ from there.
