Tips from locals
In an authentic 19th century converted barn and a quirky and innovative restaurant/bistro. Great for lunch and cakes and of course their world award-winning seafood chowder.
Nancy's Barn was the winner of the world champion seafood chowder competition, If you are in the area this is one place you have to try. If you are not big into fish, I recommend the Glashedy Stacker.
This a hidden gem in Ballyliffen. Doesn't always open in the evening but they are the world champions for Chowder 2018 an you won't be disappointed. Breakfasts are amazing. You can't book but they will take your number and call you back when your table is free....
Award winning Chowder served along with lots of other tasty items. Can be very busy. Situated in Ballyliffen which is 15min drive but definitely worth visit
Nancy's Barn has a reputation of serving up a wide range of delicious treats, made from fresh local produce.
