One of our larger parks, short commute, and houses the Denver Zoo. An option if you want a taste of the outdoors but need to stay close to town.

The largest park in the Denver metro area. The pavilion at Ferril Lake has seasonal paddle boats. The Denver Zoo and the Denver Museum of Nature and Science are inside park boundaries. About a 15-minute walk from the Airbnb.

Encompassing more green space than urban blocks, City Park fell off our list in recent years. But the centrally located neighborhood is back—and rounding out our top 10—thanks to a nearly 12 percent upswing in average home sale prices and rising popularity (the area’s Denver Squares and smattering of new builds are moving the third-fastest in the city). The only school is middle-of-the-pack, but architecturally striking, East High School. That’s not a concern for City Park residents, who are more focused on the amenities, from the Denver Museum of Nature & Science (DMNS) and Denver Zoo—both within the park’s boundaries—to a bevy of restaurants and nearby music venues, like the Bluebird Theater. It’s also a straight shot to downtown or Five Points, by bike or car.

City park has gorgeous views of the city and is a great spot for walking, biking, or picnics. The Denver Zoo is also tucked away in the middle of the park, as well as City Park Golf Course and Denver's Museum of Nature and Science. Local secret - City Park Tavern has some of the best views of the city. And you don't need to be a golfer to sneak in!
