Another fun local neighborhood to shop, eat and walk around. Union and Chestnut street are the best for this. Great views of the golden gate park from Chrissy Fields
The marina area is beautiful as it is close to the beach area, the Marina, the bay , the Palace of Fine arts and it's flat with no hills. This makes it easy to walk around, strolls along the beach trails, the Marina filled with beautiful boats, into the presidio Park and shop on Chestnut street which is always buzzing with people. It has all you need form grocery store, supermarket, cleaners, boutiques, banks, various restaurants, bars, bookstore, pharmacy etc... Its also close to hospitals, urgent care. The muni bus system (especially #30) is great and inexpensive to go around the city.

The preppy set. Blonds and top siders. Chestnut Street has a good shopping/restaurant/bar scene.
Pricey neighborhood, full of peace and calm. You'll see large mansions, fancy restaurants, and some nice shops.
