Walking bridge that crosses the Kennebec River. Historically, would charge 2 cents for workers to go back and forth from home to the mill.

We walk our dog, Luna, here every night. We love watching the sunset from across the bridge.

Once upon a time it was a toll bridge that cost two cents, now lovers of all sorts leave locks clamped to its sides for all eternity. It’s a nice walk across the Kennebec and a nice view of the town if you go up the path on the other side.

The plaques will help you learn more about the history of Waterville. This pedestrian bridge linked Winslow and Waterville across the Kennebec River.
