“Quintessential dive bar turned trendy - basically still a dive bar without scary people. Pro-tip: there's an amazing food truck out back that has unique menu items like venison and bass ceviche. Personally I prefer fanciness served with plastic cutlery. ”

Dive Bar
“Classic Austin mainstay. For years, it was owned by the same people who kept it adorned in Christmas decor - with various theories regarding its origin. Some say it was because the owner's son left for war during Christmas and never came back. Some say it's simply good marketing. It has recently taken new ownership but its halls are still decked with boughs of holly, and now there's a Stubb's food truck outside.”

“Neighborhood pizza restaurant. Pretty much outdoor seating only. This restaurant is BYOB and there’s a great local grocery store across the street to pick up a six pack or a bottle of wine.”
