Stardome Observatory (IAU observatory code 467, previously known as Auckland Observatory) is a public astronomical observatory situated in Cornwall Park in New Zealand's largest city, Auckland.
Great place to visit. Holds educational sessions, telescopes available for general viewing at night (Tuesday to Sunday) and a deep space scope available for special sessions (Thu, Fri and Sat).
In the park that surrounds One Tree Hill. There is a large children's playground adjacent to it.
Learn about the night sky in the southern hemisphere, try out their telescopes, especially the big zeus!
