The caves at Chislehurst are a labyrinth of man made tunnels forming a maze thirty metres below the woodlands above. An interesting, entertaining and spooky place to visit! The caves have been used for a whole host of things ove the years, including munitions storage, mushroom growing, an underground town during the blitz and a music venue in the 1960's & 70's - hosting big names like Led Zeppelin, the Rolling Stones and David Bowie! There's also a nice little cafe, perfect for a cup of tea once you come up for air :)
