A Must :-) It is the oldest in the country and one of the oldest in the continent, built in 1823. Its fortress architecture is built in stone and brick. The plant includes arches, domes and columns forming a sort of Greek cross over which 104 prison cells are distributed, with solid wall façade. …

Museum
“So good that it should not be missed! There's time for cultural activities too. The Gold Museum is a great opportunity for you to make a different view of the way indigenous tribes were using the gold, not only as a symbol of wealth but also as a piece of jewelry for their armors, especially the chiefs of their communities. You will find this and much more inside this beautiful place called: Museo del Oro.”

Plaza
“La Macarena is situated in the city centre, which to my point of view is the most interesting part of Bogotá. Here, in the centre, the modern and the folkloric, the rich and the poor Colombia converge. In taxi you are in 5 minutes (no traffic jam included) at the main square of Bogotá, the Plaza Bolivar, where the presidential palace and the other political institutions of the country are situated. In only a stroll, you will pass by emerald miners sell their green diamonds and get to know the site where the popular politician Jorge Eliecer Gaitán was assassinated in the year 1948 which started a large scale civil war.”

Theater
“The Teatro de Cristóbal Colón (The Christopher Columbus Theatre), also known as the "Teatro Colón", is located in Bogotá, Colombia and it is the nation's National Theatre. It was built in the Neoclassical style by the Italian architect Pietro Cantini in 1885 and inaugurated on 27 October 1892 [1] on the occasion of the fourth centenary of the discovery of America with a performance of Verdi's Ernani. [2] The auditorium was constructed in the tradition horseshoe-shape and modelled on the layout of the Palais Garnier in Paris, but only about half the size.[1] The Colón Theatre was declared a National Monument on 11 August 1975, and underwent renovations for three years.”

Museum
“This museum shows great quality of contemporary art exhibitions. If you are interested in contemporary art, I highly recommend you here. However, the location is a bit dangerous. To go to this museum, please call Uber. Inside the building it has a restaurant Crepes and Waffles which has cheap price and good quality of foods. ”
