Tips from locals
Good market on Saturdays is packed with local producers, thrift stalls and antiquities.
Lots of good local food stalls, including: very fresh fish, excellent game, meat stalls with great bacon and sausages, local cheese and vegetable stores. Look for community farm vegetables in one of the wooden side stalls.
Green Park has a few eateries - pizza, vegan, and every Saturday, the Green Park market offers veg, coffee and all kinds of yummy food. Your bus no 5 will stop right by the market or you can walk there along the river.
We LOVE the Saturday morning market at Green Park Station where all the locals go. Go there for coffee, bread, meat, fresh veg, cheese etc and there are always some interesting stalls selling more unusual produce. And it's undercover! There are Sunday markets in the same place for antiques and hand…
