Tips from locals
Gateway to hiking, biking and cross-country skiing. A beautiful gem right up the road. Up the road about a mile.
Trail head to an enormous wilderness area with a ton of hiking and biking trails, very close to downtown Missoula.
An absolutely wonderful spot to get in a hike, ski, or cycle. You can even camp creekside!
Great place to be immersed in nature. Easy walk with off shoot hiking trails that hug the Rattlesnake River.

“Another classic Missoula trail, the "L" stands for Loyola Sacred Heart school. How they got to put an "L" on Mount Jumbo is a mystery I remain pleasantly unaware of. All that matters is that you can grab some great views. This trail is closed for half of the year for elk grazing.”
