Die Siegessäule auf dem Großen Stern wurde von 1864 bis 1873 als Nationaldenkmal der Einigungskriege erbaut. Im Volksmund wird das Denkmal auch "Goldelse" genannt. Im Inneren führt eine Wendeltreppe mit 285 Stufen zur 50,66 Meter hoch gelegenen Aussichtsplattform.

One of the places that most tourists pass but never visit. Don't miss the view from top of the Siegessäule and capture the impressive view to the Brandenburger Tor and Western Berlin.
