Tips from locals
Upon opening in 2009, TIBS quickly became known for its baked goods -colossal croissants and super-sized scones are just the tip of the homespun iceberg. Neighbours and master roasters, Anchored Coffee, provide the epic brew. There is no shortage of love at TIBS.
They make these croissants. This large, buttery, totally over the top stunt croissants. They are a meal. They are excessive. They are worth the trip to try.
If you are going to explore downtown Dartmouth, start or end here. Great coffee and the BEST croissants! I highly recommend the chocolate, but you will also be tempted by the daily special.
Their croissants will keep you full for the day. This is my favourite weekend treat.

“The Canteen is our favourite place to eat out if we are having a date. The food is fresh and delicious and the chef was a competitor on Canada`s Top Chef in 2019! Tip: You'll need a reservation if you want to go to the Canteen. They also have a take out place next to it called Little C with lots of fresh food as well. ”
