The Riga Zoo is located in a scenic area surrounded by the Mežaparks and a lake. Probably not the biggest one but right size not to be too tired:-)

Not the best Zoo in the world, but is worth visiting in summer if you've already covered every thing else. Kid's will definitely enjoy it.

The Riga Zoo is located in the Riga suburb Mežaparks - a pine forest on the shores of Lake Ķīšezers. Behind the entrance gate, built in 1912, there are more than 3,000 animals from various different continents.

Maybe it's a nice day for the zoo? The neighborhood called Mežparks (the forest park) is also home to some beautiful turn of the century wooden houses. Great for a bike ride!
