The 100-year old merry go round is fun for adults or kids to ride and it's only 50 cents to ride.

A calm beach with lots of things for families to do, including a historic carousel.

Public beach in New Haven with antique carousel, great splash pad for kids. Best time to go (in my opinion) is early evening, after 6pm, fewer people and a fantastic sunset across the Long Island sound. There is a charge for non-residents ($30/car) or you can take the City Bus 206 directly from Chapel street to Lighthouse point or Uber/Lyft.

This is the closest beach. Beautiful for soaking up the sun, swimming, and there is a "splash pad" zone for the kiddos!

A lovely park, with aforementioned lighthouse, playground, carousel, kids' splashpad & beach. Free entry for NH residents; other pay per vehicle
