You look across at the castle, but it's worth a walk up there because it's atmospheric, and there are some short town walks that lead past it too. It was Katherine Parr's castle, one of Henry VIII's wives.

Lovely old castle ruin situated atop a drumlin, (a mound of earth formed by glacial ice activity) with great views across the town and hills. Good for kite flying and scrambling the castle walls.

30 minute walk to Castle from property. Castle can be seen from outside property on the right hand side. Ancestral home of the Parr Family. One of Henry the 8th wife Katherine Parr once lived in Castle

Built in late 12th Century, is now a ruin, but worth exploring. From here you can get brilliant views over the town
