Our Wide Bay Kids love to visit what we call the Train Park better known as the Ernie Organ Park Hervey Bay. This large shady park extends along the foreshore of the Esplanade at Torquay with direct access to the beach and Torquay Pier. The playground is located under large shady trees and is prefect to visit any time of the day. Younger kids love the train while older kids can’t get enough of the hamster wheel. The playground is close to the road but fenced along this section. You will also find swings, a turn style, a see-saw, a few bouncy cars, what our Wide Bay Kids call the ‘cafe’ and a small slide. Predominately the playground is aimed at kids under 8. The park has direct access to the beach and to Torquay Pier. You will also find toilets, showers and change facilities. The park is littered with potential picnic spots under many shady trees, bring your blanket and enjoy. There are also shaded areas with tables, benches and bbq’s.
