Tips from locals
The Castle Beynac is situation on a bluff hundreds of meters above the Dordogne River. It is a formidable fortress and was occupied by Richard the Lion-Hearted during the 100 years war between France and England.
A great visit to look around this imposing castle. Amazing views of the valley and the history of the 100 years war. There's not much in the rooms furniture-wise, but is a great place for photography and very 'Game of Thrones'. Activities in summer.
