Enjoy afternoon tea in this eclectic cafe in downtown Savannah. Owned and run by SCAD, it combines a classic tea house with an artistic twist.

Staffed entirely by SCAD students, the Gryphon Tea Room feels like something straight out of Hogwarts. Housed in an old apothecary, the vibe is simultaneously cozy and elegant. The lunch menu is simple and delicious.

My British educated mom and our Caribbean roots make Afternoon Tea a must do every now and again. This is my go to spot! They also have the sort of menu that makes you wish you could order - and eat - 3 meals. Truly, a gem in downtown Savannah - and lots of places to walk to after you eat.

Old School Tea House! Go for afternoon tea in a setting of mahogany bookcases and stained glass.

Restaurant
“Local and loving it, Sweet Potatoes serves up Southern soul food with a Caribbean twist. The restaurant’s bright and positive vibes make up for its location in a boring part of town. Their banana pudding has been featured on Man vs. Food, and they are one of the few authentic Southern restaurants in town that are vegetarian friendly. ”
