Tips from locals
Important site for wildlife and wintering wildfowl and makes a great spot for birdwatching. The mill itself is a National Trust owned windpump that provides incredible views over broadland.
Windpump on edge of Horsey Mere and close to the beach. NT car park and small coffee shop.
National Trust 3 mile return walk to the sandy beach at Horsey from the Windpump, with a chance of seeing Grey Seals!
This is a National Trust property so the car park isn't free. However, its worth a visit and has a lovely walk surrounding it.
Lovely windmill and walks around the broad. Sweet little cafe (outside seating only). National Trust - parking is free for members. You can walk to The Nelson Pub and the Horsey Seal Coloney on a nice day (about 5 miles round trip)
