Why locals recommend it
It's a favorite for a lot of people for the same reason: it's just really good food. I always get the Plow Plate, which is two lemon ricotta pancakes with their house potatoes and your choice of meat (go with chicken apple sausage). They have some outdoor tables and bar seating, but overall it’s a pretty small place. On weekends, they open at 8:00am, but I always get there at 7:30, and I'm already the third person in line. So I'd say get there at 7:30 or earlier if you can—nobody wants to wait in line, but you'll be waiting for 30 minutes versus an hour and a half.
Tips from locals
One of my treat-yourself places when I need a good brunch pick-me-up. You can't go wrong with their lemon ricotta pancakes, apple compote roasted pumpkin french toast, and their avocado shitake mushroom eggs benedict.
For this who like to wait in line with others for breakfast or lunch. This is a great spot. Hip spot. Good food.
The best brunch in the city. Super busy, so come early to put your name in and expect a wait.
The best brunch restaurant in town. The wait can be up to 2-3 hours on weekend so go there during the week or leave your name early!

“Aperto has been our neighborhood trattoria for more than 20 years for good reason. It's always good. Well priced, interesting daily menu, great fish, and great desserts. My favorite dish has never left the menu. It’s Tagliolini ‘Pepati,' a pasta dish with roasted tomatoes, bacon, and jalapeno. It's an unusual combination, but real comfort food. Great brunch too.”
