Take a quick bike ride to this great spot in Amagansett Square. Delicious, innovative Indian-inspired fare with laid-back outdoor seating. Also great for take-out.

If you're at Indian Wells or Atlantic beach -- or simply driving through Amagansett on way to Montauk, it's really great to stop in at Meetinghouse Square in Amagansett and have a dosa at Hampton Chutney. When you are there, you can see why it is a favorite spot for celebrities. It's beautiful. These are the same owners as the chutney in Manhattan, but quite a different environs here. Children like to play on the grassy knoll with the tall trees and play hide and seek behind the hydrangeas that seem to be everywhere. My fav dish at Chutney is the mango Lhassi (Paul McCartney likes the strawberry lhassi), and the breakfast dosa with cilantro chutney.
